Our site constitutes the dregs of the past oil, coal, warehousing and ship- building industries which existed throughout the site’s recent history. Today, we observe the waterfront and Petty Island as a blights on the community, contaminated landscapes which lack sustainable productivity. By accentuating the latent features of our site along with the human and natural processes surrounding it, we aim to generate novel and unique interventions to cultivate a more productive and prosperous future for the city. By closing the loop of wasteful and unhealthy processes, our plan asserts more efficient systems which cooperate together to improve quality of life and landscape.
