One hundred percent of our class has been accepted to colleges from Florida to California, planning a wide diversity in studies. Nearly 17 percent of the class has been awarded Regents scholarships and a large percentage of us have maintained above a 3.5 GPA throughout high school – a tough task! St Cecilia also provides opportunities for involvement in multiple activities. This is crucial to the formation of a well-rounded person and being able to participate in a variety of activities such as band, cross country, FBLA, Teens for Life, and multiple other sports and clubs has given me and my classmates the chance to gain character not taught in the classroom. Most importantly, I feel we are prepared to persevere in our faith as we move out of the nurturing environment that Hastings Catholic Schools has offered. Having priests teach us theology allows us a deeper understanding of our faith because of their great knowledge. School masses, and extra masses that Father Brouillette offers on other mornings before school, weekly Holy Hour, daily prayer, and Campus Ministry further contribute to our faith formation. One of the highlights each year is having the Eucharistic Procession with Bishop Conley. Opportunities for mission trips, TEC retreats, service days, and the March for Life help us encounter Christ outside of our school walls. All of these things have prepared us and given us a solid foundation on which our faith can grow, so that when we are no longer within the walls of St. Cecilia High School, we will have the strength and courage to keep the faith. Without the administration, teachers, staff, priests, religious sisters, family, and friends of the school, my classmates and I would not be able to confidently go out to set the world on fire with our faith and with our gifts. May God bless you all with many graces because of the sacrifices you make for our school. “I have finished the race; I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7 Yours in Christ, Justin Vrooman

Growth in KnowledgeEncountering Christ When our seniors walk across the stage on May 13, they can walk with confidence into the future. For they have been formed to be witnesses to the Faith and will remember the spiritual formation received at St. Cecilia long after they have forgotten basic math formulas and correct punctuation! Some of their memories will include:

• All-school Mass twice a week• Penance services throughout the year • 69% of the senior class completed a TEC retreat• Holy Hours on Wednesday nights• 23% participated in the Gallup, New Mexico, mission trip • AG2G (All Glory to God)• Annual student retreats• 57% participated in a Washington, D.C.
