WLA Compact is a water chiller, air cooled, for process applications for low-power. WLA Compact is designed to be installed inside, protected from the weather influence. The new WLA Compact revises and improves the already high peculiarity of the WLA Compact range, adding new sizes and optimizing yields, by adopting plate evaporators and thermostatic valves. A new electronic controller, specifically designed by STULZ for this chiller, adds new features to the range of chillers for industrial applications of small size.The overall dimensions are reduced.

GAS REFRIGERANTE R 134a

The whole range is manufactured with the latest generation refrigerant R134a, which ensures a high cooling capacity with reduced dimensions.The refrigerant R134a has a low impact on the environment, with no impact on the ozone and with a coefficient of greenhouse effect (GWP) reduced compared with the normal gas refrigerants.

Tutta la gamma è prodotta con gas refrigerante di ultima generazione R 134a, che assicura una elevata resa frigorifera con ridotte dimensioni. The transition from evaporators immersed in the tank to new brazed plate evaporators guarantees a lower pressure drop and a more efficient heat exchange between the refrigerant gas and the liquid. The inclusion of a flowswitch ensures the safety of the evaporator in case of low water flow.

Il passaggio da evaporatori immersi in vasca a nuovi evaporatori a piastre saldobrasate garantisce una minore perdita di carico ed un più efficiente scambio termico tra il gas refrigerante ed il liquido. L’inserimento di un flussostato garantisce la sicurezza dell’evaporatore in caso di bassa portata d’acqua.

PRECISIONE LASERLaser precision

By the installation of an Hot Gas Bypass valve the accuracy of the temperature of the output fluid from the chill-er increase from ±2°C to ±1°C. This setup guarantees the rapidity of change of the cooling power needed for applications laser, when the maximum load is required for short periods of time with sudden variations, avoiding the frequent switching-off of the compressor.

Tramite l’installazione di una valvola di Hot Gas Bypass la precisione della temperatura del fluido in uscita al refrigeratore passa da ±2°C a ±1°C. Tale allestimento garantisce la rapidità di variazione della potenza frigorifera necessaria per applicazioni tipo Laser, ove il carico massimo è richiesto per brevi periodi di tempo con brusche variazioni evitando i frequenti spegnimenti del compressore.

The WLA Compact range has been designed and developed to achieve high levels of efficiency at typical environmental conditions of the process industry. In the selection of components and materials Stulz has always focused on the best compromise between cost/quality: the lower yield of the chillers smaller size gives an efficiency class A for chillers larger sizes, with significant energy savings.

La gamma WLA Compact è stata pensata e studiata per ottenere livelli d’efficienza elevati a condizioni ambientali tipiche dell’industria di processo.Nella selezione di componenti e materiali Stulz punta da sempre al miglior compromesso tra costo/qualità: la minor resa dei refrigeratori di taglia più piccola concede un’efficienza in classe A per i refrigeratori di taglie maggiori, con un notevole risparmio energetico.

CONTROLLORE ELETTRONICO

The new controller, installed on all the models, is composed of an electronic board, placed inside the electrical panel, and a display positioned in the front side of the chiller. Technical data of the controller: - Supply 230 Vac- LED display with blue caracters on black background, with status symbols- Capacitive keyboard with 4 keys:

ON/OFF. The safety function is guaranteed by a disconnector

Setting/changing the parameters

Scroll and edit the parameters- Maximum resolution of the display 0,1°C / 0,1°F- Non-volatile data memory- no.3 relays for the control of the chiller (compressor, fan, pump)- no.4 digital inputs for the control of the chiller- no.1 cumulative general alarm, with contact on relay- no.1 input for chiller ON-OFF from external contact- Sequencing, to connect two coolers and manage the activation according to the needs - Modbus, for monitoring the chiller via ModBus RTU- Test function for checking operation of the components

FILTRO ARIA IN POLIPROPILENE

Prevents the clogging of the condenser with the dust in the air, which would reduce the efficiency of the chiller. It is installed on the front side with interlocking brackets, for easy and fast maintenance.

LIVELLO ELETTRICO IN VASCA

Intervenes in case of excessive lowering of the level of fluid in the tank, blocking the functioning of the pump and of the resistance of the preheating (if installed). After the restoring of the optimal level of fluid in the tank, it allows restart of the pump and of the resistance (if installed).

CONNETTORE MULTIPOLARE

10-pin connector, IP65, composed of male fixed part installed on the chiller and female mobile part. Allows connection of signals and power to the chiller.

SET POINT DIFFERENZIALE

Consente la modifica della temperatura di mandata inseguendo la temperatura letta da una sonda esterna. Un limite massimo e minimo della temperatura di set-point impedisce la deriva della temperatura di mandata oltre valori non desiderati.

Allows the change of the outlet temperature chasing the temperature read from an external probe. Maximum and minimum set-point temperatures prevent the drift of the outlet temperature over unwanted values .

Previene l’intasamento del condensatore dal pulviscolo presente nell’aria, che ridurrebbe la resa del refrigeratore. E’ installato sul lato frontale con staffe ad incastro, per una facile e veloce manutenzione.

Interviene all’eccessivo abbassamento del livello di fluido in vasca, bloccando il funzionamento della pompa e della resistenza di preriscaldo (se installata). Al ripristino del livello ottimale di fluido in vasca consente la ripartenza della pompa e della resistenza (se installata).

Connettore a 10 poli, IP65, composto da parte fissa maschio installata sul refrigeratore e parte mobile femmina volante. Consente il collegamento al refrigeratore dei segnali e dell’alimentazione.
