INTER SCHOOL COMPETITION

Date and venue Panorama, an Interschool Competition was conducted on 1st December2018 in Vidya Bharati School. Students of Grade – Pre Nursery to KG of various play schools of Delhi & NCR as Sunrise Play School, Pride Castle International Pre School, Sanfort Pre School, Bloom Field Public School, Bachpan A Play School, Decorum play and Nursery School and Champs Valley.

Agenda The Objective of the competition was to build up competitive spirit amongst them, to

inculcate the value that participation is more important than winning, to give them exposure of public speaking, to develop confidence in themselves.

Highlights This Interschool Competition consisted of various events all together. All the students actively participated in events like Artistry Card Making, Paper tearing and Pasting, Colouring, Fashion Show, Fancy dress and Dance. They adorned the Fashion show with their splendid costumes. They enjoyed themselves a lot as they got an opportunity to interact with the students of other schools.

Analysis The Tiny Tots participated in the events with full enthusiasm and determination. It also helped in improving their confidence levels. Thus in a nutshell it was a magnificent and Gala event. List of Students who outshone the others and grabbed the medals is given here under :

FRENCH WORKSHOP

Date & Venue: A French workshop was organised or the French Teachers on 1st December 2018

at DLF PUBLIC SCHOOL, SEC-2, RAJENDRA NAGAR, SAHIBABAD.

Demonstrator & Presenter:

The demonstrator was “New Saraswati House (India) Pvt. Ltd” and the presenter was Ms. Mahita

Ranjit, Author of the best selling series “Apprenons Le français.” She was also the resource person

for the workshop.

Agenda:

The agenda was to organise a French Workshop for teachers to make them aware of the latest

trends and tips related to teaching of the subject and various training tools and techniques etc. to

make the teaching-learning process much easier and communicative.

Highlights:

The Resource person had shown the revised edition of the present series which would be available

from new session(2019).The revised edition will have special pages on French culture n

civilization, tailor made sticker activities for interactivity, to-do activity pullout for all lessons, French

layout with new artwork for classes 4 to 8(Levels 0-4).

Analysis:

It is good to know that the new revised edition of French Books will have a digital version for tablet

or laptop, exercises that tap deeper into student creativity, culturally relevant topics, and much

more. Textbooks will also have a Smart Board and online component that will enrich classroom

experience.

HINDI DEBATE COMPETITION

Topic : Mobile Phone Ka Upyog Yuva Varg Ko Gumrah Kar Rah Hai

Hindi Debate Competition was organized on 13th December 2018, in GLT Saraswati Bal Mandir New Delhi under the able guidance and supervision of Lions Club New Delhi to promote social integration, effect and its pros and cons on our daily lives.

The event was very well participated and responded in overwhelming numbers by the various schools. Students engaged themselves in group discussion and on various points. It was a great learning for both the participants and the audience.

WORKSHOP ON CAPACITY BUILDING IN CAREER GUIDANCE

A two days workshop on the capacity building in Career Guidance was organised by CBSE in Ryan

International School, Ghaziabad on 14 and 15 December 2018. The workshop was headed by

eminent resource person Ms Abha Jha. Participants were around 60 teachers and councillors from

various schools across Ghaziabad. Session started with various ice breaker activities. Resource

Person emphasised that the role of teacher in career guidance is very crucial. Ms Abha

emphasised on the need to apprise the students on various career options available. The

workshop clearly focussed on different methodologies and activities of transacting career guidance

to students. It emphasised to integrate subjects with careers. The second day of the workshop was

activity based which helped the participants to understand how to impart information about various

career options available bulletin boards, field trips, career fair etc.

Highlights There were many schools who had attended the Workshop on Early Childhood Learning. The workshop was very effective, organized and Fruitful. Several Activities, Games and Conversations provided a new direction to the understanding. It had specified Information regarding what all the necessities are being fulfilled by Rachna Sagar Pvt. Ltd. as a Publisher. It also stated us about how Effective Teachers should make good use of Teaching Aids and how they should let the Children Explore themselves by different Methods.

Analysis Teachers were able to understand the Main Objective of what a child actually need. How we can fulfill the needs of a child in Today’s Pace. And what all type of latest techniques and teaching methodologies a good teacher should apply to make an effective teaching environment.

HOCKEY TOURNAMENT

VBS Hockey Team (boys under 15) added another feather to its cap by attaining 1st position in

36th S.S. Mota Singh Memorial Hockey Tournament held at S.S. Mota Singh School, Janakpuri,

Delhi from 4th Dec 2018 to 17th Dec 2018 under the guidance of coaches Ms. Neelam Sharma &

Mr. Ashutosh Kumar.

Under Junior Boys Category, our school team did wonders by defeating The Heritage School,

Rohini, Delhi 1-0, Manavsthali Public School Rajinder Nagar Delhi by 4-0, Sachdeva Public School

Rohini Delhi 2-1. It also defeated S.S. Mota Singh Sr. Sec. School Janakpuri Delhi 2-1, S.S. Mota

Singh Sr. Sec. School, Paschim Vihar Delhi 1-0, from S.K.V. Mundka Govt. School by 1-0 in the

final match.

BHARAT BISHT was declared as Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament.
