FRIENDS OF THE OPERA HOUSE February 2015
PRYDEIN
The Friends of the Opera House are pleased to welcome Prydein, a Celtic Rock Band featuring local music teacher Aron Garceau, to the Opera House for the first time! We hope you’ll join us for a St. Patrick’s Day themed, family friendly, Season Opener as we step into our 2015 season. 14th Star Brewing will be pouring for us, and we are excited to welcome them back. Join us on
March 14th for craft beer and a rocking concert. Tickets are available on our square store or at the door.
HERE AT THE HOUSE
It’s been a quiet month here at the house since we wrapped up the 2014 season with our annual season closer, Silver and Gold. Many talented local musicians, 14th Star Brewery, and Due North Winery joined us. It was a wonderful way to close out the season. We are currently recruiting for a new Managing Director and information about this position can be found on our website. Those who are interested should email a resume and cover letter to [email protected] by February 23, 2015.
MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG We are pleased to announce this summer’s musical will be the Sondheim classic, ‘Merrily We Roll Along.’ We are excited to welcome back past Director Em Frappier in her musical direction debut at the Opera House. Audition information will be made public soon, but the show is set to run July 24th through July 26th.

DRIVE4URCOMMUNITY The Opera House is again partnering with Dick Write Ford to host the Drive4UrComunity fundraiser. For every car that is test driven by a household, the Opera House receveis $100. It’s a great opportunity to test drive a Ford without being pressured to buy a car. Join us for this “fun”draiser on May 9th. SPRING CLEANING TIME The Opera House will be doing some spring-cleaning on April 18th. If you are interested in helping us clean up our house for the summer, please give us a call or send us email. We’d love to have all the help we can get!
HELP OUT AT THE HOUSE
As with many non-profits we rely heavily on volunteers to make magic happen. It never ceases to amaze me the number of volunteer hours that go into making a production happen. If you are interested in helping our organization through donations of time please contact Sarah at [email protected] or call 933-6171. If you are interested in making a charitable donation to the Friends of the Opera House you can do so on our on-line store www.squareup.com/market/friends-of-the-opera-house-2 or by calling Sarah at 933-6171. SUGGESTIONS
Have you seen something amazing lately that you would like to see here at the Opera House? We would love to hear your suggestions on what we could add to the arts community in Franklin County. No idea is too small, or too large for that matter. Contact the Managing Director, Sarah Butson by phone, e-mail, or traditional mail.
