NetSetGO! San Remo NetSetGO! incorporates skill activities, minor games and modified matches in a FUN and SAFE environment. It provides a terrific opportunity to meet new friends for not only the children, but parents too. The weekly program is coordinated by accredited coaches to ensure a quality experience for all participants.
The structured program will provide every participant with the opportunity to develop netball skills, physical fitness, social skills, sportsmanship and an understanding of the game of netball.
The major objectives of San Remo NetSetGO! are:
1. To provide every primary school aged child in Australia with the opportunity to experience netball.
2. To deliver a national junior development program that promotes netball participation. 3. To address the issue of childhood obesity by providing a low cost, easily accessible and
community based exercise option for primary school aged children, in particular young girls. 4. To provide primary school aged children, especially girls with the opportunity to meet and
interact with elite netball role models. 5. To provide a skill development program that provides young girls are with the same
opportunities to experience sport, develop self-esteem and learn new skills. 6. To provide opportunities for children and parents to participate in physical activity together.
Students not attending PSSA in term 4 will be participating in this program during weeks 1-6 in sports time. All students will be given a kit free of charge which will remain at school until they have completed the program. These kits will then be theirs to keep. PSSA Netball Semi Finals – Poppendetta Park Emerton –
Friday 24th
August 2012
The Junior A Netball team were successful in making the Semi-finals this
year, finishing second on the ladder in their pool. The last round of games
found us up against Minchinbury who were first on the ladder. A hard
fought game by the girls, in terrible windy weather. With netballs rolling
down the court by themselves and shooters finding it hard to shoot, Junior
As only missed out by a couple of goals from beating the top ranked team
on the day.
Our semi-final was against the top ranked team from the other pool, Lethbridge Park. Our usual centre Pariz,
was away on the day so some of the girls did a great job playing and shuffling around into different positions.
Mary-ann, Aleisha, Yvonne who made some brilliant intercepts in the goal ring. Teqkilah, Alliyah, Tanya,
Agnes and Tamyka all played their hardest on the day. We ended up missing out with the final score being 12-
2. All the girls played well and should be proud of themselves. Girls, you represented your school with pride
and should be proud of yourselves. Well done!
Senior A Netballers just missed out on the Semi-finals this year finishing third in their pool. They also played
well and should be proud of themselves too. It was a pleasure coaching both teams this year. Congratulations
and well done girls!
