Founded in 1978 as the $100 Heart Club, Friends of the Heart Institute has grown to an all-volunteer community organization 400 members strong. Over the last four decades, Friends has raised more than $3 million to support the top priorities of award-winning cardiovascular care at Doylestown Health. Contributions to Friends enable investments in community education and outreach, cutting-edge technology and equipment, and world-class facilities. All gifts, no matter the size, benefit the mission of Friends of the Heart Institute.

Starting with gifts of $100, Friends Annual Members share our passion and dedication to the Woodall Center for Heart and Vascular Care. Members are invited to attend the Friends Annual Meeting and Luncheon, and Friends special events at reduced rates. Members also receive a newsletter about Friends accomplishments, events, and programs.

Those who make a commitment of $10,000 or more are recognized as Friends Lifetime Members. Their generosity demonstrates an investment with an immediate impact on the top priorities of the Woodall Center for Heart and Vascular Care. Lifetime Members are recognized on the Friends Lifetime Member plaque, receive a complimentary reservation for the Friends Annual Meeting and Luncheon, participate in voting for the annual allocation of Friends’ funds, and attend Friends events for a reduced rate. Lifetime Members also receive a special invitation to an annual Lifetime Members-only event.

New Equipment & Facilities

Friends of the Heart Institute funds new equipment for cardiac rehab, and provided a seed grant in support of the Cardiovascular and Critical Care Pavilion.

In addition to supporting the Woodall Center for Heart and Vascular Care, Friends remains steadfast in our support of community health and well-being by funding events such as the nationally-recognized exercise program “Walk With A Doc.” Friends also supports a continued learning and education fund that affords members of the Woodall Heart and Vascular multidisciplinary care team opportunities to remain at the forefront of cardiovascular care.

With your strong support, Friends will continue to fund an array of community initiatives, transformative capital improvements, cutting-edge equipment, and educational opportunities necessary to sustain a world-class cardiovascular program right here in Doylestown.
