Eaton (1901-1986) was an Oakland-born artist whoevoted herself to painting on the advice of German art dealer Galkacheyer, who represented the Blue Rider group of painters. Eaton spenthree years painting in Taos before moving to New York, where shehared a studio with Louise Nevelson and attended the Art Studentseague. She then spent three years in Mexico with Diego Rivera andrida Kahlo. Eaton also had an extensive stage and screen career,ppearing inMary Poppins and Bullitt, as well as other ilms.
