This week will highlight the country of Mexico presented by Alexandria Mendoza & Dolores Peralta. TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16–THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 Bone Marrow Registry & Blood Drive honoring Fresno State Alumnus Justin Garza Tuesday: 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., Residence Dining Hall Wednesday and Thursday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Free Speech Area, Maple Mall, Kremen Education Building and Save Mart Center Join the national marrow registry - there is an urgent need for a diverse pool of donors because ethnicity plays a significant role in the donor/patient matching process. The marrow registry currently only consists of 7% African-Americans, 7% Asian/South Asians and 10% Hispanic. People of all ethnicities are needed to help save lives! (Women’s Studies, P.O.W.E.R., ASI) “With Conviction”: A Film Screening and Conversation with Director and Health Educator Dulce Garcia 1 p.m., Music Building 160 The Fresno State Women’s Studies Program and the Cultural Heritage Institute, supported by the Associated Students Inc., presents a screening of the 2011 Queer Women of Color Film Festival’s Audience Award winner “With Convinction,” a film that highlights the experiences, sexuality, and desires of fat femmes of color. A conversation with health educator, activist, and filmmaker Dulce Garcia will follow the screening.
