This week's Wednesday Words are GOD’S LOVE. “God’s love is free, All God wants, is for us to accept his love.”

Pope Francis

This coming Sunday, we hear another Lent Gospel story that helps us to reflect on and prepare for the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus. Easter is the cornerstone of our faith and it is

important to hold on to hope as we journey towards Easter. The story is about Jesus talking to a Samaritan woman at a well. God wants us to love and care for all people no matter where they

come from or what religion they may follow, because we are all part of one global family. God wants us to help each other when things are difficult and to work together to

make the world a better place for everyone to live in.

Dear God of Love God of love, fill our hearts with love for all your people. Move us to treat all people with kindness

and respect and to work to make the world a better place for everyone to live in. AMEN

CAFOD Green Day

At Sacred Heart, we are passionate about caring for our common home, and supporting people whose lives are

negatively affected by human action and climate change.

The Amazon Rainforest is crucial to the planet’s climate. CAFOD is helping indigenous communities in Brazil to defend their rainforest home from mining, logging and

other threats. We are going GREEN on Monday 23rd March! All the money we raise, will be sent to CAFOD to help communities in the Amazon defend the rainforest.

Healthy Eating at Sacred Heart

We have seen a small improvement in the number of children with healthy packed lunches and also those eating a healthy snack after school. We still think

there is room for improvement! Also, please remember to send any KS2 children into school with a piece of fruit for morning break. It really helps with hunger

pangs and concentration in the lead up to lunch time!

PLEASE NOTE: Due to an increased number of food allergies, we are not able to give out party bags with

birthday cake in them. If you do wish to send in any items in a party bag, please ensure that they are in official wrapping and with any allergy information

clearly labelled.
