• Location : Florida, Amazon River, Lakes in Russia.

• Description : A freshwater biome is in a location with plenty of minerals and nutrients.

• Soil type : The soil in a freshwater biome is deep, rich soil.

• Precipitation : Freshwater biomes have very little rainfall.

• Temperature range : 39F to 71F• Climate : 39F to 71F

Freshwater Biodiversity

• Plant species- Grass, sedge, trees, spike rush, bull rush, pickerel weed, cattail, water lily.

• Frogs, crab, shrimp, turtles, tadpoles, beaver, fish, raccoon, possums, earthworms, manatees.

• Plants-Some aquatic plants have strong roots that keep them anchored securely, others have stems that bend with the movement of the water. Plants in still water float on top.

• Animals-Some animals need the movement of the water to survive. Some animals have suction-cups so they can hang onto rocks in fast moving water.
