Spend a few minutes thinking about your future. Discuss with a partner: What are some things you’d need to make that happen? How can you get there? What is standing in your way?

Things that get in your way either at school, at home, or anywhere else which limits your maximum potential

Some we won’t focus on today Physical and Mental health issues Drug or alcohol use Family or home problems Relational stress or issues

Bring issues like this to your counselor for support

Speaking directly to teacher Ask for time that they can meet to talk Make appointment Show up on time Discuss the concern Ask questions until you get the help you need Rephrase their answer to check for clarity Follow up with them later
