Motivation for the activity : MBA - FRESHER’S PARTY 2018 Proposal: • Name of the event to be organized: Fresher Party for Students of MBA and BBA • Date/Time: September 8, 2018/ 9.00 am to 1.00pm and 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm • Venue: Lecture Theater, RDIAS • Motivation for the activity: Fresher’s Day is a welcome party to newcomers and there is a need to be friendly and motivate juniors. It aims at increasing interaction among the new and old students. The Fresher’s Day is meant for interaction between seniors and fresher’s so that they mingle with one another easily and showcase their talents. The main motto is to strengthen the bond with new crowd, make them acquainted with the faculty members, students and their respective departments. • Organized by: Dean Students’ Welfare Committee, RDIAS

Part 1

Aim of the event :

The function was organized with an aim of giving Fresher‟s an opportunity to display their talents and to adapt to

the College environment. This social gathering gives a chance to make sure that the juniors get to know their

seniors and can contact them when they have problems. The only aim is to make sure that the fresher‟s feel more

comfortable.

Part 2

Abstract :

Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending, with this in

mind the fresher‟s party was organized by students of MBA and BBA with coordination of Event Committee, RDIAS

and Dean Student Welfare.

The event started with great excitement and merriment, as all the students dressed up to their glamorous best. It

was an incredible day hosted for the fresher‟s of MBA and BBA. Fresher‟s Day is meant for interaction between

seniors and fresher‟s to mingle with one another easily. Most important is to be together and make the fresher‟s

feel good about being part of the college and motivate them to put their efforts towards the upcoming years they

will spend in college. The fresher‟s were given a chance to be noticed and showcase their talents by competing for

the special titles. Competition included 3 rounds:

1. Ramp Walk

2. Talent Show

3. Question/ Answer

This competition started with the first round „RAMP WALK‟, where participants have to walk on the stage and speak

for 1 minute about themselves. In the second round each participant has to showcase any talent they have like

singing dancing stand-up comedy etc. The last round Afterwards they all had shown their talent like singing,

dancing and comedy in Talent round. Last was the Question/Answer round, in which questions was asked by the

judges.

Fresher‟s Party MBA

On the basis of the performance in above three rounds, the judges had given their decision for the titles Mr. & Ms.

Fresher, Mr. & Ms. Personality and Mr. & Ms. Unique Talent Best talent. Performances by students were held on

stage while the judges evaluated the results from different rounds namely by RDIAS‟ Dance group “VEERA” and

Singing group “SURSANGAM” performed. Results were announced and the titles and gifts were presented to the

winners by respected Dean Examination Dr. Manoj Kumar Gupta, Dean Academics (MBA) Dr. Anshu Lochab, Dean

Students‟ Welfare Mr. Somendra Kumar, Dean Academics (BBA) Dr. Smita Mishra, and Coordinator of

Administration (MBA) Ms. Bushra. Winners were as follows:

Ms. Fresher- Swati Chaudhary

Mr. Fresher- Ajay Rana

Ms. Personality – Juhi Mahor

Mr. Personality – Sahil Vijay

Ms. Unique Talent – Alisha

Mr. Unique Talant – Paramjot Singh

After the Mr. and Ms. Fresher Competition students proceeded for DJ Session in the Ground Floor Hall. Lunch was

also open simultaneously for the students.

Students really enjoyed the Jam-session.

Fresher‟s Party BBA

Fresher, Mr. & Ms. Personality and Mr. & Ms. Unique Talent Best talent. Performances by students were held on

stage while the judges evaluated the results from different rounds. RDIAS‟ Dance group “VEERA” and Singing

group “SURSANGAM” performed a musical skit together which depicted difeerent college scenarios with a musical

touch. Results were announced and the titles and gifts were presented to the winners by respected Dean

Examination & Student Administration Dr. Manoj Kumar Gupta, Dean Academics (MBA) Dr. Anshu Lochab, Dean

Academics (BBA) Dr. Smita Mishra, and Coordinator of Administration (BBA) Ms. Shikha Dua. Winners were as

follows:

Conclusion

The day ended with both happiness and warmness among students, with high spirits to become successful in the

days to come. It was highly appreciable effort by the students of RDIAS and they surely succeeded in making the

day memorable one.
