    just what the city ordered.in 2010, the ST Management team saw a need

    in the marketplace for a fast-casual restaurant

    concept that met the needs and standards of

    health-seeking new yorkers. as a result, the

    fresh&co concept was born.

    fresh&co hit the ground running with seasonal

    and organic food that soon expanded from oursignature chopped salads to a wide variety of

    homemade soups, freshly-made sandwiches,

    and a full spectrum of breakfast offerings.

    our executive chef delights and surprises

    customers with his creative use of new and

    unexpected ingredients, rarely seen in the

    quick service category. these include seasonally

    inspired sandwiches, quinoa breakfast bowls,salads featuring heirloom vegetable varieties,

    and much more.

    at fresh&co, our foods been a hit from the start

    and it continues to evolve based on customer

    tastes and requests. like our vegetarian and vegan

    options; our use of locally-grown ingredients; and

    our recently launched quinoa bowl bar, which is a

    smashing success and the topic of some serious

    buzz on facebook and twitter.

    Buying Localwe believe in supporting the tri-state area

    farming community by buying locally-grown

    fruits and vegetables as often as possible.

    we strive to purchase from organic, sustainable

    farms in the hudson valley, long island and

    new jersey. beyond that, we limit our buyingto 8 hours of travel time.

    we get our greens from Satur Farms on long

    and culinary ingredients; use organic sprays

    whenever possible; and pay employees a

    living wage. thats good, from the ground up.

    sandwiches that celebrate the current

    seasonal side salads, and work the

    seasons freshest ingredients into ourmuch-clamored-for salads!

    we hit the bullseye.at the holidays, we partnered with City Harvest,Satur Farms and Plainville Farms and converted

    one of our restaurants into a soup kitchen. it was

    our small way of feeding the people who need it

    most. the city is our home. its people are our family.

    we love our city. and were proud to do

    what we can to feed and nourish every

    new yorker. thats why we actively support

    we are.at fresh&co, were growing.in 2013, we opened 5 new restaurants

    and we plan on opening 3 units per year

    over the next 3 years. every restaurant is

    launched with a beautiful, fully-branded

    interior, special events for our neighbors,

    and lots of samples on the house.

    its simple, really. bring the welcome

    wagon with you, and your new neighbors

    will become old friends.

    George Tenediosthe apple doesnt fall far from this growing tree.

    fresh&co co-founder george tenedios is the son

    of our ceo and the man with the vision to bring

    fresher food alternatives to a changing marketplace.

    having worked part-time with ST Management

    since he was 15, george went on to earn a degreein hospitality management from Fairleigh Dickinson

    a manhattan resident, he loves travelUniversity. ,

    restaurant hopping, and, of course, cooking.

    Brad Grossmanbrad is our uber-talented fresh&co corporate

    executive chef. he joined the company in

    1991 with more than 25 years of food service

    experience. he is responsible for the culinary

    management of all locations, where he designs

    menu creations and is one of the innovators

    of the hugely-popular create your own salad

    bar. he also trains staff in food preparation

    and presentation.

    steve is the chief executive officer and founder ofST Management. hes the brains behind severalbrands under this big umbrella, including CafMetro, Caf Metro Catering & Events, FoodMerchants, Food Merchants Catring & Events,Food Exchange, Flavors and fresh&co. Stevestarted the company in 1981 with one Caf Metrostore and now operates over 30 restaurants today.
