December, year 1719; that an inventory of his effeots was made by
Sr • .Tacotab and de posited with Raguet, that deponent was
ordered by Mr. de Ville Deau, Director to turn over to Mr. Olivier
a quart of flour belonging to said Beaucondray.

Peltier de Franchomme, officer, stationed in Illinois, petitions
the council alleg ing his marriage contract, along with other
notarial docwnents, has been destroyed by rats; owing to his
inexperience he had neglected to get a duplicate copy of said
contract at the time it was drawn by notary Bussereau de
Bellegarde, and now asks that a duplicate be made by Rossard,
notary royal, in presence of Bellegarde and other witnesses who
were present when the original was drawn up.

he sold to Mr. HUbert, ba- fore his departure for France, a lot and
five negroes. The purchase price of negroes was 6000 livres; that
Bonhomm turned the negroes over to Mr. de Gauvry for use on his
plantation, where they remained for :two years and four months;
that on the death of Mr. Hubert no "d'le assumed the obligations
