work under our internationally acclaimed Olympic
sailing coach Arthur Brett.

Come and follow the StowAway! activity trail as you sail to exotic ports, find all of the mysterious ships’ cargo and locate a hidden passenger. You can then decorate your own cargo ship before you ‘Raise the Flag’ by designing and constructing your own ships’ flag. Then transform a Stowaway to Sailor as you dress up your own runaway in grand seafaring style, or decorate your own Love Your Local Wildlife Panorama. Are you ready to play the Great Trade Race game, and hoist the colours, Cap’n?
Children follow the directions for the Stowaway trail around the Museum galleries and solve the clues as they come to each location, which send them on a journey across the world to great trading ports to collect exotic trade items such as in the eighteenth century: ivory, birds, gold and even slaves!
Then children can decorate one their own hessian flag design with special sparkle thread and decorate their own pirate designs (with help from some cool pirate stencils if need be).
Love Your Local Wildlife Panorama features a range of threatened local species with a vista that spans from Rottnest Island through coastal plains right through to desert landscapes near Kalgoorlie. The Great Trade Race game will also be available for children to play with their mateys!

this amazing site. The Escape! Tour is an exclusive
tour for children aged 5 to 12 years old. These special
tours cost $10.00 and are running on Mondays,
Wednesdays and Fridays in the April school holidays.
Children will visit the sites of numerous dramatic es-
capes and hear a number of tales of daring, desperate
and dangerous escapes from Fremantle Prison. This
tour is strictly for kids. Don’t worry Mums and Dads –
you are welcome to step inside and do time on the
Doing Time tour while the kids are plotting their escape.

SkyView Observation Wheel & Kiddy Land All Ages Esplanade Reserve, Fremantle
The SkyView Observation Wheel is Australia’s largest relocatable ferris
wheel and provides unprecedented views of Fremantle Town and Har-

Dinosaurs Alive! Esplanade Reserve, Fremantle
The $3.5 million Dinosaurs Alive! exhibition is coming to Fremantle, Western Australia!
The Esplanade Reserve, Fremantle will host ten life-like robotic dinosaurs, who ruled the Earth for
more than 160 million years, from 30 March – 5 May. See Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velociraptor,
Stegosaurus and more! There are also loads of fun interactives and activities for the kids to
enjoy - come and uncover fossils in the dig-a-fossil pits, put together dinosaur puzzles and compare
your footprint size to that of a dinosaur!

25under25 Exhibition
The City of Fremantle and Feast Your Eyes have teamed up to present the young people of
Fremantle, Perth and greater WA with the most prestigious youth art competition yet. Over 70
submissions were received by the 18 March closing date, with young people given over 4 months to
prepare and present their submissions. The winning artworks will be presented at the art exhibition
called "25under25".

Friday 19 April: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
Promoted as a family musical by Paramount Pictures, Willy
Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is more of a black comedy,
perversely faithful to the spirit of Roald Dahl's original book Char-
lie and the Chocolate Factory. Enigmatic candy manufacturer
Willy Wonka (Gene Wilder) stages a contest by hiding five
golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whoever
comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka fac-
tory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy.
Saturday 20 April: The Sapphires
The Sapphires is a 2012 Australian musical comedy-drama film.
The film is about four indigenous women, Gail (Deborah Mailman),
Julie (Jessica Mauboy), Kay (Shari Sebbens) and Cynthia (Miranda
Tapsell), who are discovered by a talent scout (Chris O'Dowd),
and form a music group called The Sapphires, travelling to
Vietnam in 1968 to sing for troops during the war.

Get Knotty with Leeuwin Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation

When: Sunday 21 and 27 April 10.00 am–12 noon
Cost: Entry is just a gold coin donation and everyone who comes along leaves with a memento.
Kids will get to learn how to tie nautical knots, challenge themselves by hauling a heavy line into a chest of treasure, learn how to belay and coil lines like the sailors.
