On Sunday, May 20, the park presents “East Meets West: Global Impacts of the Battle of Saratoga,” a lecture and music event that offers a unique per-spective on how America’s Revolutionary War impacted India, and how events in that country had effects on the American Revolution.
At 1 p.m., Skidmore College professor Tillman Nechtman will speak on the America-India con-
nection. Following the talk at 1:45 p.m., Skidmore College music department lecturer Veena Chandra will offer a concert of 18th-century Indian music.

uCar Show, More
FORT EDWARD The Little Theater on the Farm will be set-ting for two events on Saturday, May 19, with a Cruisin’ in the on the Farm Car Show during the day and a Hee Haw Variety Show in the evening.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Cole’s Cruisers will put on a car show featuring live music, a swap meet for car parts and tools, a crafts fair, flea market, bake sale and raffles. Food will be available throughout the day.
To register a car for the show, contact Dave Cole at 518-360-6364.
Later, at 7 p.m., the Little Theater on the Farm will host the Hee Haw Variety Show.
Produced by Steve “Skeeter” Morse, the show is a re-creation of the classic 1970’s TV show starring Buck Owens, Roy Clark, and Minnie Pearl.
“It’s going to be a really great show,” said Morse. With the per-formers dressing up like the original stars and the stage set like the Hee Haw stage, he expects the production will give the audience the feeling of the TV show. He added that the comedy/musical show is family oriented.
Morse will portray show host Buck Owens. Other performers include Sandy Wheeler as Minnie Pearl, Rick Thombs as Grandpa Jones, and Chris Donaldson as Patsy Cline. In addition to musical perfor-mances, the show will also include “pop-up” skits done in the style of the original show.
Morse, a member of the board of directors of the Little Theater on the Farm, said he was inspired to create the show by the theater’s stage. “It repli-cates the Hee Haw stage pretty close,” he said. After a year’s worth of work assembling a cast, the show is now ready.
The complete cast includes Steve “Skeeter” Morse, Chris Donaldson, Jim Donaldson, Allen Bogart Jr., Sandy Wheeler, Tom Moore, Scott Pulver,
