The writing is first class Ava lee is a very engaging character and the I always learn something about a real issue. I highly recommend the whole series and in particular" The Scottish Banker of Surabaya". You will learn all sorts of
unpleasant things about money laundering in a most enjoyable way.
What We Saw At Night
As the plot rolls on, things get a little muddled and preposterous. The ending was such a shock to me, that I read the
next pages of the new book, hoping for some closure. It was just too abrupt. However, if you don't mind being dropped on your head by your author, then this book is fine. I expect more of the
acclaimed Ms. Mitchard.
What We Saw
I liked how nicely the book flow, there were not dull moments or lagging dialogue. This was a fast read and the
conclusion really shocked me! The best part of Ryan's writing is how descriptive he is. His writing doesn't leave you second guessing what you're supposed to be seeing. This is a brilliantly written novel that I really enjoyed!
The Truth of the Matter
As I got to the end, I realized what the whole book was about, and hope to use this information in my own life. I highly
recommend this book, and The Evidence Against Her.

The Pirate Hunters
I have been reading Mack Maloney's books since the late `80s. I was addicted to the Wingman series and it inspired me to pursue a career in aviation. I couldn't wait for each new book to hit the shelves. Pirate Hunters has the same
hard hitting, fast paced style I enjoyed in the Wingman series. It was difficult to put down and I looked forward to getting back to it when I could. It was a much needed break from reality!
The Maleficent Seven
The feels. Oh, the feels this book gave me. Springheeled Jack in particular became a truly rounded, fully fleshed out
character in this book, both terrifying and sympathetic at the same time. I loved the banter, both among the good guys and the bad guys. I enjoyed the action. I ... there are twists, towards the end, that I did not see coming. I freely admit
that I came close to tears at one of them.
The Dark Rider: Fading Light Book One (Volume 1)
Wishing to escape a reality where she hates her job, her relationships are failing, and trouble and stress choke the fun

The way this story is presented, in its parts, is refreshing, it's been done before but it can hardly be pulled off, Matt
does it and does it perfectly, just enough crack to keep you going but not enough so that you feel content with waiting
a little while longer. In its collected form it will steal your life... make sure you don't have a presentation or assignment due the next day, you will fall asleep through it...

The Blue Door
I like this series because Prissie is a normal person with normal, human reactions. I think all too often, Christian fiction
writers tend to portray their characters as abnormally "good" people. Although we do strive to be Christ-like, we are not perfect. Looking forward to the next book!
Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires, Book 1)
Ethan Sullivan was the vampire who turned her, he also happens to be the head of the Cadogan House in Chicago.
Ethan is an arrogant 400 year old vampire who wears his confidence and power like a mantle. Merit finds herself drawn to him, and then repulsed by his decisions and 'lording' over everyone under him.
Son of Sedonia
"Son of Sedonia" is one of the best science fiction books I've had the pleasure to read since some of Ray Bradbury's
short stories. Thank you for sharing, Mr. Chaney, and I'll be looking/hoping to read more.
Operation Sea Ghost (Pirate Hunters)
The trail of the weapon eventually finds Snake Nolan his team the movie star and a person known to those who read other of Maloney's series chasing the Al Qaeda operative to New York City, where an event worse than 9-11 is about to occur. The climax finds the Pirate Hunters successful but with several highly unforeseen circumstances surrounded
the victory.
Reality Check
Reality TV is pretty easy to skewer and some of the plotlines are things the reader can't help but wonder why the girls
don't see, but as the show premieres and they do become the celebrities gossiped about in US Weekly they've wanted to be, and are threatened with breach of contract if they don't live up to the promised drama, the best writing
comes out. In many ways, the mean girl steals the show, and while you're rooting for Charlie, the machinations of those who want fame above all else are highly entertaining. A perfect example of "Be careful what you wish for."
Poisoned Pins
Joan Hess is loads of fun to read and this is one of my favorites. Her characters are delightful and the heroine is
someond you can really identify with. Highly recommended!

Operation Caribe (Pirate Hunters)
Mack Maloney has done it again. Operation Caribe continues the excitement of piracy on the high seas. The Whiskey
team wins again but not without taking hits itself. Like Pirate Hunter, Mack brings todays problems of piracy to his novels with all the excitement of old time movie staring Errol Flynn. Several skirmishes and a suprise ending makes
this book very hard to put down. Two 2 hours sessions on the Naples, Fla. beaches flew by. I can't wait until the team gets back together again. I'd recommend that a reader read the Pirate Hunter novel first to really learn about the
formation of Team Whiskey. Operation Caribe just continues the excitement.
Jumping in Puddles
A blast of pure reading bliss, an adventure written for the romantic in all of us, packed start-to-end with delightful creativity and BE's usual dose of sexy scenes. Adorably charming beyond belief, BE wins our hearts again with
another romance that could comfortably sit on our favorite bookshelves.
Extinction Machine: A Joe Ledger Novel
EXTINCTION MACHINE is a Joe Ledger Novel through and through. It stays true to form, offering readers bone-
crunchign action, snarky dialogue, and twisted revelations. This entry in the series shares much in common with Men
in Black, X-Files, Fringe, and even the video game Crysis. On a scale of my favorite Joe Ledger novels this falls right after ASSASSIN'S Code. If you haven't yet picked up the series, now would be the time to do so.
It's In His Kiss: Holiday Romance Collection
This was a good story and I really enjoyed it. They are best friends since kindergarten. He is her best friend. He,
however, is in love with her and has been since they first laid eyes on each other. She just doesn't see what is right in front of her. She has a bad relationship with her mother and her men and so it colors every relationship she has and
she has many, always the wrong guy. It is a good story on how they come together and the reasons behind the mother's behaviour. The grandmother is somewhat of a turkey altho she appears to be the good guy. It was
entertaining and I would recommend it to those that enjoy a normal every day romance.
Immortal Trust
There's not anything I can say that I don't like about this series, to me it has everything- romance, suspense, passion and love. With good fighting evil but not always winning it sets each book into a world that just sucks you right in. The characters fight for a love they all want so desperately while still fighting to protect the world from an ever-growing evil.

Immortal Lycanthropes
Bertrand Russell once said that the sign of an excellent work in philosophy is that it begins by making a claim so
obvious as to be banal. It proceeds from this to make a number of seemingly obvious inferences. When you reach the conclusion you think "of course, why did I waste my time on that rubbish" only to realize a few moments later that you are affirming something you would not, in your wildest dreams, have admitted before you began reading the paper.
Immortal Surrender
LITERAL ADDICTION gives Immortal Surrender 4 Skulls and would recommend it to Urban Fantasy and Paranormal
Romance lovers who are looking for something a bit different. I would suggest that readers start out with Immortal Hope before reading Immortal Surrender, however. While it can be read as a stand-alone, the introduction to the world
and the supporting cast will be much more appreciated if the series is read as a whole.
Immortal Hope
I really loved this book. Her characters just flow so naturally. I couldn't put the book down till I finished. I love the Templar concept. I rarely write reviews since most of the paranormal books are good but not great. This was great!! I
highly recommend reading this start of a series to anyone who loves paranormal.
I Swear
If you want an emotional, tear jerker, read this book. It's a quick, but heavy read that hopefully opens people's eyes to
bullying.
Henry Franks
This book moves at a furious clip. Mr. Salomon builds up intrigue and mystery with an expert touch. Thought i had
things figured out halfway through, but I was wrong. The romance element is beautifully intertwined. The horror builds with subtle tension until it comes crashing down with tremendous effect. Highly recommend this. At times sweet, at
times dark, always intriguing.
Heartstrings
The last person Abby Crawford wants to face down is country music superstar Seth Kendall. Last time she did, she flat-out lied so he’d go to Nashville without her. She’s never understood why their mutual best friend proposed, but she
went with it so her baby wouldn’t be fatherless. Now she’s a divorced mother of a teenager, and secretly Seth’s biggest fan.

Flowers for Her Grave: A Grim Reaper Mystery
The third Grim Reaper thriller (see Embrace the Grim Reaper and The Grim Reaper's Dance) is a whimsical whodunit
as readers will agree with death that is time to get out of Dodge, but Casey knows there are moments when you cannot run away from your problems. Filled with humor mostly due to the relationship between Death and Casey as
most people think she is a lunatic arguing with herself since they cannot see or hear the grim Reaper. Series fans will enjoy Flowers for Her Grave as Judy Clemens showcases human travesties as seen through the eyes of Death.
Friday Night Bites
"Friday Night Bites" is intelligently written and contains little actual "ass kicking" but much plotting and intrigue. There
are many mysteries left to unravel. With every step the reader learns more of the complexities of the Chicagoland universe, and at the end of the book, is left longing for more. I for one can hardly wait for the third installment which
comes out next year (too long a wait, if you ask me!). For those of you who haven't read the first book, I say please go out and buy it immediately. While Chloe Neill recaps the first book here, readers shouldn't skip reading it, especially
for the sake of appreciating and relating to Merit's development and her emotional struggles. Please read both I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Forever After (A Dark and Funny Fantasy Novel)
This is my second book by David Jester, the first book, An Idiot in Love (a laugh out loud comedy), grabbed me and when I seen this latest offering, I had to pick it up, so yeah, maybe I'm a bit bias. For someone not familiar with this type of genre, I would say that it reminds me of Spawn, the story where the guy makes a deal with the devil to come back to life only to discover that he didn't spell out the tiny details in his deal. Kind of like that but with that British wit
that is refreshing to read.
Fatal Decree: A Matt Royal Mystery
I was completely invested in this series the moment I began reading. Unlike other series authors, Griffin has managed to maintain his standards of both quality and content. Seven books in, he still manages to explore unique cases and
take his characters into different emotional territory. It was really nice to see Matt and J.D.'s budding relationship come to a head, especially because it didn't play out in the predictable way I feared it was going to. Griffin love of Florida
and the people who inhabit it is made obvious by his detailed descriptions of settings and the inclusion of small town characters that give the sometimes outlandish story a much needed dose of reality. With Fatal Decree, Griffin proves that he is very much at the top of his game. Any fan of fast paced and original mysteries is sure to enjoy this novel.
A Matter of Trust (A Mia Quinn Mystery)
This was a great, well thought out and well plotted mystery. It really kept me guessing since I truly suspected
someone else throughout the entire book, than who really `did it'. The characters come alive and we learn a lot about Mia and her family. We learn a little less about Charlie, but I figure we will be learning more about him as well as some
of the others members of the Prosecutors office as the series goes on.

Ever After
I absolutely loved it. I just couldn't put the book down. It defenetly hooked me. I just absolutely had to know what was
going to happen next. I have to say Heather this book is epic!!!!!!!!
Escape from Evil: Married at 17 to a Serial Killer, She's One Victim Who Escaped
This was an amazing book. This young woman endured terrible abuse at the hands of a maniac, until she was able to get away from him, for her sake and that of her son. I didn't understand why she kept allowing the guy to have visits
with their young child when he tortured women in front of him? Maybe it was court-ordered. I am glad she survived to tell her story. Imagine her horror when she discovered the guy was a serial killer! Wow! Great book, great reading.
Very compelling.
Enigma (Angel's Promise)
Absolutely amazing keeps your interest through out! Spell bounding. Love the intrigue!! Will definitely recommend this to my friends. A must read!
Dark Beach
Jenny is lost in a sea of heartaches that she's carried for too long. If it wasn't for her unexpected pregnancy, she
would be able to take the medication that would prevent her from falling into the brink of darkness. Unable to cope with the news of this new life, she keeps it a secret from her husband.
Cool Water
These are characters in the tradition of Carol Shields or Alice Munro. Warren is perhaps not as capable from a literary
perspective as those writers which is what stops it short of being a great book.
Comes the Dark (The Dark Trilogy) (Volume 1)
Alongside these highly conceptualized characters, comes some of the most disgusting and intricate imagery that written words have put into my mind's eye. The dead come to life before my eyes in all their grotesque glory. A definite
plus if you're tired of reading zombie books where their best descriptions are a monotonous rehashing of dead, infected, undead, zombie, living dead, walking dead, etc...

Collateral Damage: A Matt Royal Mystery
Griffin's love for the place and people of Florida permeates the novel, providing the fictional world with some much-
needed reality. While the plot becomes a bit hard to follow at times, the story resolved nicely. This novel is a fun, escapist type read, that is sure to provide fans of mystery thriller novels with a great time.
Chocolate Girls
"Chocolate Girls" is the first book by Annie Murray that I have read and while I did find it an okay read, I have to admit
that I didn't enjoy the time jumps that the writer used, overall it was an okay war-time read.
Andromeda's Fall (Legion of the Damned)
ANDROMEDA'S FALL is full of action and suspense. I usually rate one of these novels by how memorable the battles are and two from ANDROMEDA'S FALL are emblazoned in my brain. I can't wait to continue the story of Andromeda
McKee (there are definitely sequels on the way) and in the meantime I'll try and grab a few copies of the earlier books.
Aphrodite's Curse (Kallos Series)
"Aphrodite's Curse" is very short and sweet. In this short novella we finally find out what led to Aphrodite being cursed. It tells us why she was cursed, who she was cursed by, and how the looking glass was made to hurt her not help her. We also get a glimpse of what happened between Aphrodite, Aries and Apollo. I always wondered about Aphrodite's
past and now I know. I would definitely love to read more.
Adept (The Essence Gate War, Book 1)
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Adept has all the right ingredients for this genre and the author blended them together
into a story that starts well, stays interesting, develops in unexpected directions and finishes with both a sense of conclusion and a desire for more. The vocabulary and wording were outstanding, constantly surprising me with
phrases that evoked the exact imagery of the moment and fit perfectly. I like that the author wasn't afraid to have
central characters face adversity and even die as their part of the story was complete. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

A Lady Under Siege
If you're looking for a history lesson or a deep and angst-ridden exploration of the human psyche, this isn't the book
for you. If you're looking for an incredibly entertaining modern fractured fairy tale, I can't recommend A LADY UNDER SIEGE highly enough.

Alanna: The First Adventure
The books follow her adventures while at school then after she is ordained and they are so engaging and wonderful
with many memorable characters not to mention a strong female role model. I reccommend this series to anyone, but most especially anyone with a ten yr old daughter who might fall in love with these books the way I did.
A Red Herring Without Mustard: A Flavia de Luce Novel
I enjoyed this book from start to finish. I had been looking forward to following along while this young detective solved the puzzles which seemed to keep mounting up and I certainly was not disappointed. The deeper Flavia went into the
attack on Fenella the more questions were raised about other things going on in both Bishop's Lacey and other nearby villages. In the middle of it all hangs the very real life troubles of the de Luce family and their money problems.
A Quest of Heroes (Book #1 in the Sorcerer's Ring)
I'm in love with the characters, both the good and the bad. Morgan Rice did a great job of creating a unique world to dive into. One of the best things I like about her writing, is everyone from my mother, to myself, to my children can
read her books. I've read other books of hers and am equally impressed. She has become one of my favorite authors. I highly recommend reading this and her other books.

A Not So Model Home (Amanda Thorne Mysteries)
The second Amanda Thorne mystery is an amusing whodunit in which the realty TV supersedes the sleuthing. The
storyline focuses more on the ridicule and insults thrown back and forth as grenades between the players than on the inquiry. Still fans will enjoy this humorous lampooning of realty TV as Amanda showcase once again A Not So Model
Home.
A Clash of Honor (Book #4 in the Sorcerer's Ring)
I thought this was a great continuation of the first three books in the series. The author has a tremendous talent for creating suspense as well as frustration at injustice, or that feeling that the good guys "oh, almost" prevailed or that feeling that "when" will the good guys come out on top??? This is a skill and this author does this time after time.
A Feast of Dragons (Book #3 in the Sorcerer's Ring)
The story is great however the editing is terrible and it is badly written. The names are spelt one way and then another a few paragraphs on. The writer writes about one character and uses another characters name. Terrible editing, badly
written but great story.
A Different Blue
I enjoyed this book because I love how Blue overcomes the person she thinks she should be to become the person
she wants to be. It is a great story of redemption.
A Different Blue has more adult content than the previous books I've read by Amy Harmon. I would not consider this book part of the young adult genre. It's definitely for grown-ups. But if you enjoy a good story of redemption and
overcoming tough obstacles, you will enjoy this book, too.

The Marenon Chronicles Collection (Books 1, 2, & 3)
The descriptions of people, places and things were so vivid, I could see them in my minds eye and this is important to
me when I read. If I can't picture what the Author describes I'm left frustrated and unhappy but that wasn't the case here. I was very happy with the ever evolving storyline and very pleased with the characters development throughout.
Thank you for a great story and I hope to read more soon.
The Heritage Paper
This was another well crafted thriller by Derek Ciccone. He clearly did a lot of research before writing this fictitious
conspiracy novel dealing with the concept that several of the Nazi hierarchy survived and had been ploting for years to re-establish themselves in the United States under assumed names with the goal of bringing about a new Nazi movement. There were numerous surprises and plot twists to keep the reader guessing and turning pages. And
though there was considerable tension throughout the story, it concluded with a feel good ending.
The Great Unexpected
This is a delightful book that I read in one sitting. Sharon Creech has done it again with this beautifully written and
lyrical story. It is warm, witty, full of memorable and eccentric characters, secrets and coincidences, hidden meaning and life lessons for our children. As you begin to put the pieces of the puzzle of the story together it will remind you
that we are all connected by that invisible thread and the actions of one many times affect the lives of others.
Own the Wind: A Chaos Novel
Great job for Kristen Ashley. I love her books, especially all of them about Chaos MC. I am glad that authors give you
snippets of other characters that you have previously read about (i.e. Tack/Tyra) in this book. It keeps the story connected for me. She was able to keep my interest as well as peak my interest for the next ones. I am definitely keeping up with what trouble may come from Benito and look forward to what Chaos brings to protect their family.
Only a Mother Knows
Sad to read that Annie Groves passed away. I was pleased to read this book in continuation of the series. I read
somewhere that it was written after Annie Groves' death, but a really good job was done. It was very much like she would have written IMO.

Nowhere Safe
I really enjoyed the growth and change that the main characters experience through the events and their feelings for each other. My favorite aspect is the update we got on the characters from the previous story. The heroine's brother
was the main character in the first book and it's nice to see the changes in his life through his part in this story. Excellent entry in the series-hope we get a third book!

Interesting, exciting continuation of the characters as they continue to travel and explore new territories seeking new
learnings about culture and their powers.
Island 731
A great new character has also been introduced in 'Island 731'. The ending was set up in a way that almost
guarantees a sequel. Who knows?! Maybe Mark Hawkins can team up with Jack Sigler in the future!

Hull Zero Three
Bear doesn't skimp on pure action, and while he avoids the standard "infodump" we do learn enough of the design
and function of the inconceivably vast starship to really engage the reader's sense of wonder and awe. The book was not perfect - there were some scenes towards the middle where it dragged a bit, and the end seemed a bit too rushed and confusing. However, these are minor flaws. Overall, "Hull Zero Three" is one of 2010's better sci-fi offerings and
showcases an author that is still near the top of his game.

This was a very strong mystery, with a great central character and careful attention to settings. Wallander is cut from
the same cloth as John Rebus and Alan Banks. He's struggling with loneliness after his wife has unexpectedly left him and his close ties with his daughter have been severed. He has to deal with an aging, possibly senile, father and his
attraction to the new female district attorney who is filling in on an interim basis, and who happens to be married. Plus, he's drinking too much and putting on weight due to a steady diet of pizza and fast food.

solve a mystery of her own past while pursuing the disappearance of an old friend. There are some elements of humor mixed in with the mystery along with a touch of romance. All in all, a great read and another winner from CJ Lyons!
