new Azimut 40S, enjoyment is just the start. The yacht

has been designed to offer a much wider range of

emotions: from wonder at the amazing number of

equipments and innovations to admiration for a sporty

style that can be seen in a powerful and yet slender

structure extending along aggressive, elegant lines that

seem to go well beyond the stern and the bow and

almost penetrate the external environment.

Owning an Azimut “S” line yacht is a matter of pride, a

sign of true distinction, as seen in the red of the livery

and confirmed by the centre windows in a checker

pattern which is typical of the Azimut Yachts “S” line.

For a yachtsman that chooses an undeniably elegant

boat with indisputable sporty qualities, there is also the

satisfaction of the brilliant performance of the two

Cummins QSB 5.9 360 kW 480 MHP engines. These

two powerful engines push the 40S up to a top speed

of 37 knots supported by a hull that can ride the waves

and guarantee total control and perfect handling of the

boat. The electrically opening hard top allows skippers

to enjoy all the emotions and sensations of the sea

breeze blowing in their hair.

There is no point in talking about space onboard the

Azimut 40S because space is taken for granted and

extends beyond its true physical dimensions. The

different areas communicate and merge harmoniously.

The cockpit and living area can be joined together to

form a large open space by opening the door almost

completely and the areas can be separated once again

when the owner and guests want to relax and enjoy

moments of elegant indoor comfort and total privacy.

Furniture and furnishings have been arranged so that

passageways and areas for manoeuvring are left clear

inviting natural light to flood through both decks.

Two groups of solar panels that integrate perfectly with

the external design are also worthy of admiration. The

panels recharge the batteries when there is no external

power supply (when moored, for example). Combined

with a LED light system, they increase efficiency and

extend the duration of the batteries. There is also the

Proteo system, a vigilant electronic assistant that

indicates which systems are temporarily on stand by,

manages simultaneous use of the main electrical loads

on board and prevents black outs. All this means

calmness and serenity.

INTERIOR STYLING AND CONCEPT

From the zebrano wood furniture to the leather tops,

the decor of the Azimut 40S reflects the sporty nature

of the Azimut Yachts “S” line. The technical fabrics that

cover the bulkheads and roofs create colour contrasts

between champagne and chocolate brown. Dark brown

also features on the sofa in the living area and the top

range leather of the pilot’s seat. Light-coloured leather

with a very rich texture is used on the bed head with

bedspreads in natural white and silver fabrics with silky

reflections.

L’imperativo è divertirsi e il divertimento, a bordo del

nuovo Azimut 40S è davvero una richiesta minima. Lo

yacht è infatti concepito per offrire una gamma di

emozioni ben più ampia: dalla meraviglia per la

ricchezza di dotazioni e innovazioni all’ammirazione per

uno stile sportivo, che si riconosce in una muscolatura

potente e allo stesso tempo snella e si sviluppa in linee

aggressive ed eleganti, che sembrano allungarsi ben

oltre la prua e la poppa, quasi a voler contaminare

anche l’ambiente esterno.

L’orgoglio è quello di possedere uno yacht Azimut linea

“S”, un segno di distinzione assoluta, attestato dal

colore rosso della livrea e confermato dalle finestrature

a centro murata che si sviluppano nel disegno a

quadrati, tipico della linea “S”di Azimut Yachts.

Per un armatore che sceglie una barca indubbiamente

elegante, ma dalle innegabili doti sportive, vi è anche la

soddisfazione per la brillantezza dei due motori

Cummins QSB 5.9 da 480 mHP. Due potenti

propulsori che spingono il 40S fino ad una velocità di

punta di 37 nodi, supportati da uno scafo in grado di

solcare le onde e garantire sempre il totale controllo e

una condotta perfetta dell’imbarcazione. L’hard top

apribile elettricamente permette all’armatore di godere

di tutte le emozioni e sensazioni regalate dall’aria di

mare tra i capelli.

A bordo dell’Azimut 40S non si parla di spazio

perché lo spazio è un dato di fatto che si dilata oltre

le reali dimensioni fisiche. Gli ambienti comunicano

e si fondono in una grande armonia. Il pozzetto e il

salone si possono unire formando un grande open

space, grazie all’apertura pressoché completa della

porta, con la possibilità di separare nuovamente gli

ambienti quando armatore e ospiti desiderano

ricreare e regalarsi momenti di elegante comfort

indoor e la privacy più completa. Mobili e arredi

sono stati disposti in modo da lasciare liberi i

passaggi e le zone di manovra, invitando la luce

naturale ad entrare in ogni ambiente con la

massima libertà.

Ancora ammirazione quando l’attenzione si posa sui due

gruppi di pannelli solari che si integrano perfettamente

con il design esterno. I pannelli provvedono alla ricarica

delle batterie quando l’alimentazione esterna è assente

(ad esempio in rada). Abbinati ad un impianto luci a led,

aumentano l’efficienza e moltiplicano la durata delle

batterie. Il sistema Proteo, poi, è un assistente

elettronico sempre vigile, che segnala quali sistemi

sono temporaneamente messi in stand by, gestisce la

contemporaneità d’uso delle principali utenze di bordo,

evitando i black-out. E questa si può definire, a scelta,

serenità o tranquillità.

INTERIOR STYLING AND CONCEPT

Dai mobili in legno zebrano ai top in pelle, il decor

dell’Azimut 40S riflette il carattere sportivo della linea

“S” di Azimut Yachts. I tessuti tecnici che rivestono

paratie e cielini creano contrasti cromatici tra

champagne e testa di moro. Tinte brune scure anche

per il divano del salone e la pelle di alta gamma della

seduta di guida. Pelle chiara, invece, con una texture

decisamente ricca per la testata del letto, che si

affaccia su copriletti in tessuti naturali, in tinte bianche

e argento con riflessi serici.
