If you are not registered as a

user you will be required to show proof of ID and address to obtain a membership card.

Group Information

Parents/Carers Please note all universal sessions have a room capacity limit which is enforced for your health and safety. We operate a first come first serve

policy on all of our universal sessions. We would like your experience at our Children's

Centres to be memorable for all the right reasons.

Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before each session

Parent Champions Would you like to be a Parent Champion?

We need mums, dads, and carers who would like to share their experience to support other parents in accessing the

2 year old childcare provision.

Early Positive Approach to Support (E-PAtS) Coffee morning Come along and meet parents with children who have a diagnosis or emerging additional needs and share ideas over coffee. For further Information speak to Sam Cornell Senior Family Support Worker. Date: 20th January Time: 9am - 10am Little Champions Are you a parent/carer/childminder of a child with delayed speech/language and communication. Come along and enjoy playing and exploring a variety of engaging activities (to support speech and language delay, sensory needs, social sills, play and interaction). Childminders Training An opportunity for childminders to access training. This session is delivered by the neighbourhood Childminder Coordinator Julie Sussex. Time: 9am - 11.15am

Family Language ESOL Class You will be required to complete an assessment. Please bring your National Insurance number with you for enrolment purposes. Time: 9am - 11am

Baby Club For parents/carers of babies 0-12 months old. An opportunity for babies to explore their environment. For parents to share experiences, socialise and support each other. Time: 1pm - 2.45pm Breastfeeding Support On the 1st and 4th Tuesday of every month a breastfeeding peer supporter from National Childbirth Trust (NCT) will be available to offer guidance and support to breastfeeding mothers. Alongside Baby Club Time: 1.30pm - 2.30pm

Antenatal Workshop Delivered by the Health visiting team. Invited parents only. Date: 28th January Date: 25th February Date: 31st March Time: 1.30pm – 2.45pm Ready Steady Play This is a group for children that attend a private nursery or a childminder setting, that are not known to a service in Newham or the Area SENCO Team. You will be able to meet a professional and discuss your child's learning needs and get practical advice and support. This session is delivered by Newham SEND Hub. Attendance by referral only. Messy Play An opportunity for your child to explore using all of their senses. Please dress your child appropriately to enable your child to maximise their experience. Please note this session is for children 12 months and over. Time: 1.30pm - 2.45pm Baby Massage A positive bonding experience for you and your baby. Each week you will be taught new strokes. Priority is given to families living within our community neighbourhood. This session will run for 4 weeks. First session: 26th February Last Session: 25th March Time: 10am – 11am

Little Builders Build and construct with a variety of resources which will aid your child's growth and development. Time: 9.30am - 11am Positive Parenting Programme (Triple P) Aims to increase parents competence and confidence in raising their children. This is a 6 week programme. Building Community Capacities School Readiness Promotion This session is led by our local health visiting team offering tips and advice around helping your child to be school ready. Early Positive Approaches to Support (E-Pats) Are you a family caregiver for a child who has a learning disability, global delay or Autism? This offers sensitive support and information for families in the early years. It is delivered by a trained family caregiver and a professional. You will have the opportunity to work alongside other families to build on ways to support yourself, your child and family. This session will run for 8 weeks. Dealing with Disobedience This will provide positive parenting tips and strategies for managing disobedience. Date: 7th February Time: 9.15am – 11.15am

Family Support

Our experienced family support workers can offer guidance and support on a range of issues,

parenting, domestic abuse, mental health, referrals to

agencies and a listening ear.

Saturday

Gym Tots A fun gym session with a qualified gym Instructor. This session will build strong bones and muscles. Improve balance and develop skills, maintain and develop flexibility. For children 18 months - 5 years old. Time: 10am-11am

Saturday play An opportunity for you and your child to play, learn and grow together through a vast range of activities. Dads are particularly welcome. Time: 10am -11.30am

Holiday Activities

The centres offer activities for families with children up to the age of 8 years old

during half term holidays. Please speak to a member of the Children's Centre

team or call the centres for further information.
