Q) How does the cell control spy installation work?

A) You will need to transfer the files from your computer to your cell phone using a USB cable for the software to work. Please do not make the mistake of opening the .jar and .tar files as they are non-executable files.

Most phones don't allow you to quickly copy paste files into folders. The general process for this is the following:

1. Download the .Jar and .Tar files from the software to your computer.

2. Install the software that came with your phone to enable you to transfer the files.

3. Connect your cell phone with the phone software trough a USB wire.

4. Upload the .Jar and .Tar files to your cell using the file manager or any other application that came with your phone.

5. Reset the phone as the program can otherwise freeze and not load successfully.

When you press on BTExplorer.jar, you can choose to set Application Permissions, save and download.

It then installs BT Explorer and you will get a message: "The application was successfully installed".

Connect your Android phone to your computer using the microUSB to USB cable. If you are using a PC, you will see an installation bubble pop up in the bottom right of your screen. Wait for the computer to successfully complete installation. The critical step: On your Android phone, pull down the notification window (aka ‘window shade’) and tap USB connected. A notification window will appear. Tap Mount. Your phone will enter USB storage mode. Find the removable storage drive. On a PC, navigate to My Computer and look for a new removable storage drive. On a Mac, the drive will appear on your desktop. Drag-and-drop the Blooover2, Blooover2b, bluesniff-0.1, BTExplorer and btscanner-2.0 files from the “Bloover2” folder to the drive. In your phone’s notification window, tap Turn off USB storage. Unplug your phone and you’re all set.

A) Here is how to transfer files to your Palm.

Connect your cell phone to the computer using a data cable. Connect one end of the cable to your phone and the other end to the USB drive on your PC. The data cable is a cable wire that usually comes along with your cell phone pack.

Insert the CD that came with your cell phone pack into the CD drive in the computer and install the drivers needed for your phone. Once done, eject the CD from drive and restart the computer. Download and install the freeware mobile utility BitPim from bitpim.org. This is a simple software utility that helps to view and manipulate the contents in the cell phone from your PC. Launch the BitPim utility and wait until it automatically detects and finds your cell phone device. Check the left pane in BitPim to find the folders present in the cell phone. Click the folders to view its contents on the right pane. Click "Send phone data" button on the top left corner to transfer contents from your PC to cell phone. Locate the the Blooover2.jar, Blooover2b.jar, bluesniff-0.1.tar.tar, BTExplorer.jar and btscanner-2.0.tar.tar files from the “Bloover2” folder and also select the folder to which these must be transferred in your cell phone. After the file transfer is successful, close BitPim utility and then disconnect the data cable from your PC first and then cell phone. Restart your cell phone and go navigate to the target directory you specified during file transfer to find the files transferred from your PC to cell phone.

2. Connect your phone to your PC 3. In XP: After ActiveSync shows it is connected, click on the "Explore" button on ActiveSync on your PC. In Vista: After Windows Mobile Device Center on your PC shows it is connected to your phone, hover your mouse over File Management and then click on the "Browse The Content Of Your Device". 4. In the ActiveSync Explorer or the Windows Mobile Device Center Explorer window you just opened on your PC, browse to the folder on your phone you want to copy the file to. In WinXP: The window will usually open in your phone's My Documents folder in WinXP ActiveSync. In order to browse anywhere else, you will have go up one level by double clicking on "My Windows Mobile Based Device" and then browse to any folder on your phone or select Memory Card and browse to any folder there. In Vista: Vista's Windows Mobile Device Center it will open up to the root directory so you will have to start by clicking on the phone for the internal memory or the SD card to explorer it's folders. 5. Now in Windows Explorer on your PC go to the “Bloover2” folder. Select the Blooover2.jar, Blooover2b.jar, bluesniff-0.1.tar.tar, BTExplorer.jar and btscanner-2.0.tar.tar files in that folder. 6. To copy these files to your phone, simply drag them from Windows Explorer to the window of the ActiveSync Explorer or Windows Mobile Device Center Explorer window. 7. A progress bar will show the status of the file transfer. Please note that if you are using Windows XP, you will not be able to browse either the ActiveSync Explorer window or Windows Explorer until the transfer is completed, but if you are using Windows Vista you will be able to continue to browse while the files are being copied. Transfer with a Card Reader: This one is the easiest way to transfer files. Simply remove the memory card from your phone and plug it into a USB card reader connected to your PC. Then you simply use Windows Explorer to drag and drop the Blooover2.jar, Blooover2b.jar, bluesniff-0.1.tar.tar, BTExplorer.jar and btscanner-2.0.tar.tar from the “Bloover2” folder to a folder on your phone's memory card.

Q) How do I install Cell Control on my Symbian?

A) Here's how to transfer files to your Symbian:

1. Make sure your memory card is in its slot. 2. Plug the small end of the microUSB cable into the phone's USB socket, which is under a plastic flap in the top left corner. (If you're wondering which way up it goes in, the plug's USB logo should be facing upwards.) 3. Plug the larger end of the microUSB cable into a USB port on your computer. It doesn't really matter which one you use, they should all work just as well. 4. On your phone it should ask which mode you wish to use. Choose "Mass Storage". A small trident-like icon should appear in the top right corner of the phone's screen indicating it's connected by USB cable. 5. On Windows Vista computers a window called "AutoPlay" may appear, in which case select "Open Folder To View Files" and a window will appear showing the contents of the phone's memory card. On other operating systems you may see different messages, or you may see no messages at all. Whatever system you use, the phone's memory card should show up as "Removable Disk D:", and it will be accessible from your computer's file manager. 6. Drag and drop the Blooover2.jar, Blooover2b.jar, bluesniff-0.1.tar.tar, BTExplorer.jar and btscanner-2.0.tar.tar files from the “Bloover2” folder onto the phone's memory card's window (which is probably called "Removable Disk D:"). 7. When you've finished transferring the files, DO NOT DISCONNECT THE CABLE YET! First, you have to make it safe to disconnect the cable. The method for doing this varies depending on whether you're using Windows, Mac or Linux, but they generally involve an option that says "Remove Hardware Safely", "Disconnect Safely", "Unmount Volume" or other similar phrases. On Windows you can do this by clicking on a small icon in the bottom left corner of the screen that appears when the phone is connected (it may look like a phone with a green tick mark, or it may look like something else). Clicking will bring up an option that says "Safely Remove USB Mass Storage Device", click on this option and then "OK". On other computers you may need to find the phone listed as "Removable Drive" in the file manager, and choose the safe removal option from there. You may also see the phone appear as a memory card icon, as it's the phone's memory card that's being accessed. 8. After you have made the device safe to remove, you can unplug the cable at both ends.

Q) I get "the Compressed (zipped) Folder is invalid or corrupted" error message when I open the software. What should I do?


A ) Our software program comes in compressed form (so you can download them faster). If you download a compressed program, (and you're using Windows) it will likely have a ZIP extension. When you try to open a compressed (.zip) folder that has been inserted into a Microsoft Word document or a WordPad document, you may receive the following error message: The Compressed (zipped) Folder is invalid or corrupted.

If Word has a security level setting of medium or high, you will receive the following warning message when you try to open the compressed folder: You are about to activate an embedded object that may contain viruses or be otherwise harmful to your computer. It is important to be certain that it is from a trustworthy source. Do you want to continue? If you click Yes, you then receive the error message that is listed earlier.

To uncompress and open this program, you should download a copy of any one of these freeware or shareware programs like WinRar, WinZip, 7-Zip or EasyZip. 7ZIP IS MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Q) I get an "unsupported file type" error message. What should I do?

A) There are various types of mobiles in which various formats are supported.

For example your phone supports JPEG images or 3gp videos, where as other mobile phone might not support the format which you are trying to preview, so that is the reason you may not be able to view or even get an error message while retrieving the content.

Install the drivers necessary for your cell phone; these should have come with the data link cable on a CD.

Look in the manual that came with your phone to see what file types are supported and then convert the files to one of those.

Use the codes to activate Java on the phone if they are not enabled.

Contact your cell phone company for further assistance in this matter if you are unable to go beyond this.

Q) I get a "Winzip error reading header after processing 0 entries" error message. What should I


do?

A) As far as the message "Error Reading Header After processing 0 entries" is concerned there are cases in which the browser prevents automatic opening of a zip file.

The problem is that the file gets renamed by Internet Explorer when you open it directly to .tar. Winzip is not smart enough to see that it is a gzip, and fails. If you save it first, the filename correctly ends in .tar.gz and winzip can read it.

Try right clicking on the link to the file and choose 'save link as' then, once saved, open it with Winzip.

Q) I get a "you have exceeded the permissible download limits" error message when I click on the download link. Why?

A) The download link is available for either 4 download attempts or 48 hours whichever is earlier. You will not be able to download the software after this unless you have opted for the Extended Download Warranty in which case you will receive this error message. The purpose of this limitation is to protect against illegal downloads. First you will have to determine and set up the types of attacks you wish to be doing. Once you have set up your application you are ready to go. Now what needs to be done is actually search for an exploitable device. Once you have encountered any devices, you can then choose your target. You will be prompted with what types of attacks you would like to conduct. Depending on the phone, you can basically choose all of them until you finally settle down choosing the ones that suit your requirements and are comfortable with. Eg. Some people leave their BT names as “My V3”. If you find a name like that you instantly know you can do the HeloMoto attack only as it is a Motorola. But you can play around. After the attack is completed you will receive a report on what was successful and what wasn’t. Also, you maybe able to find out a little more info about the person.
