New Family FilmFest!We’re celebrating 10 years Under the Stars! 

Fredericton’s Outdoor Classic Film Series has reached a milestone and we’ve planned a FunFamily FilmFest to commemorate it.  Fredericton Tourism and our partners, the NB Film CoOpand Downtown Fredericton, have put together a couple of double-feature nights, when the sunsets earlier, for the young and the young-at-heart to enjoy. September 1 and 2, join us for musicalentertainment at 7pm, a film for the younger ones at 8pm, followed by a film for the teen-agedset that starts around 9:30pm.

Going with the Windpresents colourful and whimsical whirligigs of allshapes and sizes, both historical andcontemporary, created by artists of AtlanticCanada and borrowed from both public andprivate collections. A special feature is aninstallation of six commissioned works installedoutdoors at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, as wellas at Kingsbrae Garden in St. Andrews by-the-Sea. Stranger in a Familiar Land presents thefantastical artistic vision of Don Bonham, whofirst came to prominence in the 1970s with hisfinely crafted, provocative figurative sculpture –bodies fused with airplanes, motorcycles, cars,boats, and helicopters. Fantasy merges with realityin an exploration of the pervasive influence oftechnology and its attendant mythologies onhuman consciousness.
