The Brand & MenuUbhar’s brand is inspired by the legendary city of Ubhar, listed on the UNESCO’s World Heritage list. From frankincense deserts to camel meat biryani, the story of this legendary city is told through the menu. Guests can also discover the diversity of Omani cuisine through the aromas and essences used in our recipes: rose water from the mountains of Jabal Al Akdhar to Frankincense from the wadis and coconuts from the shores of Dhofar, and dry lemons from the farms in Batinah. Oman’s position at the crossroads of the spice routes influenced it cuisine and as the gateway to the Gulf, it shares many Khaleeji cooking techniques and recipes.
