Dear Brother Knights:
It is hard to believe that we are drawing closer to the great feast of Christmas.
At Christmas we honor the birth of Jesus Christ. At times our Savior is
forgotten in the commercialization of the season and the rush to get ready for
holiday festivities. Each year the Knights of Columbus takes a leading role in reminding society that
Christmas is first and foremost a holy day. One of the best ways to do this is participating in the Order’s
“Keep Christ in Christmas” campaign. I thank you for providing the sale of signs to our people each year.
The message in their yards, help people who pass by to remember the true meaning of Christmas. One
small sign can change someone’s heart.
Also Brothers, I want to remind you that The Best Presents Can’t Be Wrapped. This Christmas season give
the gift of yourself within your council, community and family. Give these or similar presents of friendship,
understanding, kindness, love and compassion:
*Serve or prepare meals at a soup kitchen.
*Bring presents to children or elderly people in the hospital nursing homes.
*Visit someone who’s shut-in.
*Send a Christmas card to someone you have not seen or talked to in years.
*Invite a friend or neighbor who will be alone to share your Christmas celebration.
*Reconcile with a friend or relative with whom you have quarreled.
*Apologize if you were wrong.
*Provide transportation to mass for someone who is now unable to drive.
*Wish people you meet a good day and a happy and holy Christmas.
*Get the family together to clean out all the closets and dressers. Donate usable clothing, shoes, blankets
and other items to a program for needy families.
*Sing Christmas carols at nursing homes or hospitals.
*Collect baby clothes, blankets, food, diapers or money and donate these items to an St. Vincent de Paul or
other organizations that helps needy people.
*Be a part of the holiday spirit by undertaking one or more of the items listed above and help make Christ-
mas merry for someone else and yourself.
With your help we will keep Christ in Christmas.
As your Chaplain I wish you and your family the blessings of this Holy Season. May Jesus, the gift to the
world, bless you and your home with peace, happiness and joy.
Merry Christmas.
Your Chaplain,
Father Gary Goyeau
Mark your calendar now, Wednesday, December 12th 7 pm we will be celebrating our Advent

Dear Brother Knights,
Its that time of the year again. December has come and with it, all the signs of Christmas. But
what’s the real meaning of Christmas? Is it the gifts under the tree, the lights in the windows,
the cards in the mail, turkey dinner with the family and friends, or stockings hanging by the fireplace? Is this
really Christmas? For many people, Christmas is a time of sadness. The loss of a loved one, family abroad that
can’t come home or a shortage of money for gifts.
The story is told of a little girl who is passing out the presents to her family on Christmas morning. After
finding gifts for each member of her family, she was puzzled that there wasn’t a gift for the One whose birthday
was being commemorated. “I guess everyone forgot about Jesus” she said.
If you want a truly meaningful Christmas Season, it stands to reason you need to grasp the true meaning of
Christmas. Forget about Jesus and you’ve missed the entire, glorious point of the celebration. Always
remember to “Keep Christ in Christmas”.
On behalf of Gabrielle and myself, I wish all my Brother Knights and their families a safe and Holy Christmas
and a Joyous New Year.
“Vivat Jesus”
Paul Lauzon – Grand Knight.

Dear Brother Knights
Another Christmas season is upon us! I want to take this opportunity to wish all my
fellow Knights and their families a very Happy and Holy Christmas Season. During this
Holy Season, I urge all my brothers to be true to the real meaning of Christmas. We keep
Christ in Christmas by sharing love, cheer, and hope with those less fortunate by sharing our good fortune.
Our annual Christmas party for the children is the weekend before our meeting, and we are all looking forward
to seeing Santa at this fun afternoon for the children. If you did not register, and have children, keep the party in
mind for next year.
Our final meeting of the calendar year will be a combined executive and general meeting on Tuesday
December 11. I urge everyone to join us for dinner at 5:45 with the meeting to follow 6:30 mass.
I am told by Ontario State that the provincial lottery tickets will be issued before Christmas ( but not likely by
our meeting date). Keep this in mind, as the tickets make great stocking stuffers. When they arrive, I will send
out an email to everyone so that they can pick up a book or two before Christmas.
Your Council continues to look for help with the many programs and activities we have ongoing, including
bingo, the provincial lottery, soccer challenge, and the basketball challenge to name a few. Consider making it
your new year's resolution to get involved - then do it.

The Meaning Of Christmas
Far away in Bethlehem, a Baby Boy was born; Born with neither riches nor with fame, Yet Wise Men came from all around to bring to Him their gifts, And peace was felt by all who heard His name.
Angels watched Him as He slept, and gently rocked His bed; Their voices singing softly in His ear; His Mother and His Father both gave thanks to God above For the greatest gift of all, their Son, so dear
They knew His life upon this earth would not be filled with wealth, They also knew He would encounter strife; But most of all, they knew that He would be a loving Child, And teach the love of God throughout His life.
At Christmas, as we celebrate this Birth of Jesus Christ, Let's keep in mind the truth of Christmas Day;
Hello My Brothers and Families:
On behalf of my wife Alice and I, we would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas
and the Happiest of the New Year to you all.
I would like to say a very special thank you to our Children’s Christmas Party committee
Worthy Grand Knight Paul and his wife Gabrielle as well as Worthy Deputy Grand Knight Fred and his wife
Orietta .
Thanks to the many volunteers that came out to assist with our extremely important bingos this month and all
previous bingo’s as well. As you know this is our main source of income for our local charities.
Well our Ontario State submissions are piling up and we will be sending off approximately 80 submissions.
Our deadline for getting them all to Ontario State Board is March 15th.
Please keep our deceased Brothers & Sisters in your daily thoughts and prayers.
