PR/SCS/12-01 Magnacide 575™  Product DESCRIPTION/APPLICATION: Magnacide 575™ is a biocide product for use in Baker Oil Tools' fracturing fluids. The product is typically used as a quick kill biocide when loading fracturing fluid mix water onto frac boats tanks and plumbing. A significant advantage of Magnacide 575 is its ability to rapidly degrade through hydrolysis, photolysis, oxidation, and biometabolism. In most cases the biocide is degraded into nontoxic by-products within 24 hours. This makes the product much less toxic to use than most biocides used in the oilfield. FEATURES/BENEFITS: Broad spectrum biocide Has quick kill characteristic Rapidly degrades into nontoxic byproducts Has tolerance to salinity APPLICATION AND DOSAGE: For fracture stimulation treatments, the recommended dosage is 0.1 to 0.3 gallons per 1000 gallons (0.1 to 0.3 liters per cu. meter). Magnacide is compatible with all of Baker Oil Tools  fracturing additives. Compatibility tests should be performed. AVAILABILITY: Magnacide 575 is available from Broussard, LA, and Houston, TX. SHIPPING AND HANDLING: Maganacide 575 should be handled with caution.
