Cemetery News: Mowing in the cemetery has begun. Please remove any item on the ground in our cemetery. It is hard for the mowers to trim with these items around. Shepherds hooks not attached to the stone will be removed. The winds often blow items all over the cemetery, so please label your item so it can be put back on the stone it belongs on. Be sure and check out the gazee-bo for missing items. If you do not have a headstone up on your lot, do so as soon as possible. At the time you purchased your plot, you were given a policy and regulation sheet that stated “After the purchase of a lot or death of a loved one, a head-stone must be in place within one year.” Reminder letters will be mailed soon. Call the office if you have any questions.
Time to start sending in your Picnic Quilt donations,
either to your group leader or to the parish office. Not
on a group? Would you consider making a donation of
$35 and being added to a group? You do not have to quilt or buy ma-
terials for a quilt, just make a donation and your name will be added
to a group quilt. Can’t give $35? Any amount will be appreciated.
Call the parish office for details.
Family Mini-Mission - Uncovering the Lies about Love
April 21 at St. Joseph Parish Center, Jasper
There is an exciting opportunity to attend a POWERFUL, family mini
-mission. For 20 years, Rose Sweet has been inspiring and delighting
audiences with her practical ways to put your religion into your rela-
tionships. Her talk at St. Joseph will feature the seven stages of ro-
mance and will Uncover the Lies about Love. If you have children 12
and over, we encourage them to come to listen to Rose as well. She is
able to capture the minds and hearts of our young people and set them
on fire with the faith!
Pizza and finger foods will be served prior to the event starting to
make it a little easier for working parents to attend. If you are able,
RSVP so we can get an estimate on food. Child care will also be
proved for children 11 and under so please call in advance the ages of
your children.
Join us from 5:45-6:15pm for refreshments. The event starts at
6:15pm and ends at 8:15pm. If you have any questions or want to
register, call Saint Joseph Parish Center at 812-482-1805.
World Day of Prayer for Vocations
In 2016, we mark the 53rd anniversary of the World Day of Prayer for Vocations. Moreover, we celebrate it always on the 4th Sunday
in Easter, Good Shepherd Sunday. In today's Gospel reading, we hear about the sheep that always know the voice of the shepherd. May
we also hear with ears of faith our Shepherd's call to discipleship.
Let us pray...
Jesus, good and gentle Shepherd, we pray for those among us who hear your voice and call to a vocation in the Church.
Help them to be unafraid of that calling from you of service to the universal church. Gift them courage to boldly say yes to your call.
Help us to encourage them in their long journey of discernment and formation.
We offer our thanks to you for calling us to discipleship in many and various ways, as married men and women, as single men and
women, as priests, deacons, and professed men and women.
We ask all these things in the name of the Good Shepherd, Jesus, our savior and our brother. Amen.

CPC - Catholic Parishes Campaign is currently underway in
our Diocese. Our assessment for St. Mary Parish is $190,081 for
2016-2017. As most of you know, this amount is figured in our
annual budget and because of this we do not have a CPC drive.
This seems to work out well for our parish. If you want to make a
special donation toward this amount, just include it in your Sun-
day offerings. If you want to change your ACH, just call or email
the parish office. Thanks for all you do for our parish.
Dubois County CARES, Dubois County Coalition for Adolescent

approx 35 years and is always interesting and informative.
Tickets are also available for the “Olde Ireland Tour”. This is a tour
through town on our green tour wagon that will give a glimpse of life
in our area as long ago as 1816. Tickets may be purchased for $5 any
time to book the 30-40 minute ride and a chance on the beautiful
“Ireland Bicentennial Bench”, which is constructed of native pecan
lumber harvested from the original Irish Settlement. Tours will be
given through the end of August. Call 812-631-4300 for details and
booking reservations.
Following the program refreshments will be served. The public is
invited, so bring friends and family to enjoy the students’ biographies,

our Legacy and Estate Planning event for Catholics of Dubois Coun-
ty, Monday, April 18 at 7:00pm at the Jasper K of C Hall. Frank
Stepp, Senior Vice President of Thompson and Associates out of
Brentwood, Tennessee will be our special presenter. Come find out
how you can keep more of your wealth, and leave more to people and
causes you care about, and potentially less to the government. Mr
Stepp has helped many people locally do just that. He has had a
strong working relationship with Memorial Hospital Foundation and
is offering to help the larger Catholic community with his expertise.
This is a free event, and light refreshments will be served. Please
RSVP by Calling 812-482-9200 or [email protected].
