PARISH MISSION STATEMENT
As a Eucharist-centered, Giving-focused Parish, we strive to more fully know, love, and serve God, neighbor and church, while faithfully learning and living-out His Word.
AUDACITY
There is a spirit of audacity in our readings today. During a time of injustice and threat of invasion, the prophet Micah boldly announces that the God of insignificant Israel will raise up a leader from backwater Bethlehem, and this leader will bring justice and peace to the whole world. In the Gospel, Elizabeth and Mary, marginalized women, brazenly celebrate that their sons will be world-changing instruments of God. We further learn that this audacity is rooted in trust in God. The author of Hebrews describes the faithful obedience of Jesus. Mary is shown as the exemplar of faithful trust in God. This is the way God often seems to work, in the ordinary and marginalized in our world. Those who seem weak have learned to trust in God’s strength. MARRIAGES A minimum of eight months notice is required by the Diocese of St. Augustine because of the sacredness and the seriousness of this Sacrament. Preparation for the sacrament includes attending diocesan programs.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS (K of C) NEWS
After Mass this weekend (December 18/19), the Knights will be distributing brochures about the self guided Consecration of the Holy Family. To help families live out the joy of Christ, the K of C Supreme Chaplain, Archbishop William Lori, composed a prayer through which families will come together to consecrate themselves under the protection of the Holy Family. The Knights will also be handing out Prayer cards after Mass on Christmas weekend (December 25/26).

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
Every Tuesday, the Adoration hours are 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Main Church. Confessions are available, from 6:15 pm to 7:45 pm. Every Friday, the hours are 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, in the Chapel.

STEWARDSHIP Hospitality Prayer Formation Service
4th Sunday of Advent “For behold, when the voice of your greeting came to my ears, the babe in my womb leaped for joy.” (LUKE 1:44) When you hear the scripture readings and Gospel reading at Mass, do you “leap for joy?” If not, don’t blame the lecturer or priest, rather look inside yourself. What are you doing to grow in friend-ship with Jesus? How do you prepare for Mass each week? Or, do you just show up and expect to
be entertained? As the Body of Christ, we are called to be active participants, not just passive observers.
