WORSHIP
FOURTH EDITION
A HYMNAL AND SERVICE BOOK FOR ROMAN CATHOLICS
“Worship—Fourth Edition will manifest a refinement of the combined philosophies of the earlier editions. It will extensively feature the work of contemporary hymn (text) writers who have emerged from both Catholic and Protestant traditions in the past 40 years—all of them, more or less, inspired by the three-year Lectionary, a product of the liturgical reforms of vatican II. While the second and third editions of Worship contained very little piano-based (“folk”) hymnody, the fourth edition will contain many of these contemporary hymns that have mainstreamed in the recent decades.”

EASTER SUNDAY – Pew Version
Give praise to the LORD, for he is good; his mercy endures forever.Let the house of Israel say, “His mercy endures forever.”
“The LORD’s right hand has done mighty deeds; his right hand is exalted.”I shall not die, I shall live and recount the deeds of the LORD.
The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.By the LORD has this been done, a marvel in our eyes.
Psalm 18 for Easter Sunday, beginning on page 10, is excerpted from the Worship—Fourth Edition Lectionary Psalter, which provides for two separate sets of psalm tones: the well-known tones of Joseph Gelineau and the newer tones of Michel Guimont.
This example is taken from the Lectionary section of the pew edition.
