IntervalsIntervals

Interval consistency is crucial for an accurate performance.

Consistent interval throughout the show: memorize look and feel.

If you change intervals, keep in fluid - always know what your home interval is

IntervalsIntervals

Wind Intervals: less than 130 total marchers : 3 step interval. Bigger: 2 - 3 step interval

Trombone and Tuba will have trouble fitting in a vertical 2 step interval.

Drums - Snare - 1.5 to 2 step, Toms - 3 step, Bass - 3 to 4. Avoid vertical alignment

Think about Cymbals - close to snares for hits, good distance and space for features.

Flags - Space needed - 6 to 8 step intervals

Step SizesStep Sizes

Standard step size - 8 to 5 - for comfort, no smaller that 10 to 5 and no greater than 6 to 5

Slow tempo? - limit step size to be no larger than 7 to 5 to avoid awkwardness.

Avoid large backward steps Percussion - keep in mind they side step or crab
