Introduction
This toolkit is meant to empower district leaders to inform their clubs and members about the Every Member Every November District Challenge and encourage them to win the district challenge while meeting and exceeding the internal goal of U$30,000.
As we experience uncertainty in these unprecedented times, kindness unites us as a global community. Everyone has the power to make a positive difference in the lives of others by giving to those in need. Through the collective efforts of Zonta’s members, we can make a measurable impact in the lives of women and girls across the world.
Typically, donations collected at the Zonta International Convention build a solid foundation toward meeting our fundraising goals. Unfortunately, we lost this opportunity because the 2020 Convention was canceled due to COVID-19. The Every Member Every November District Challenge was created to build up this base while also allowing for some friendly inter-district competition.
We encourage each member to make a personal gift through their district’s team, or the individual member team, page in support of Zonta’s international service projects. With each gift, your district has the opportunity to be promoted within the Zonta community.

What is Every Member Every November?Every Member Every November is a special fundraising campaign in which every Zontian is encouraged to make a personal donation to the Zonta Foundation for Women. This is a great opportunity to introduce new members to the international projects and education programs supported through the Foundation.
What is GoFundMe Charity?GoFundMe Charity is the online platform through which the Every Member Every November District Challenge is collecting donations for the Zonta Foundation for Women. This platform is being used because it offers the capability of creating district teams to help create a competitive challenge.
When is the Challenge taking place? The challenge period begins on 1 November 2020 and ends on 1 December 2020. Donations are completed when a donor enters the donation amount and clicks the “Donate” button on or before the end of the challenge period. Donations are counted towards the Challenge after such donation has been successfully processed.
Are there prizes awarded to the districts that raise the most through the Challenge? The top district that raises the most will receive a full-page profile in an upcoming issue of The Zontian. The second and third place districts will be featured in an upcoming Zonta News email newsletter.
What are the mini challenges?Throughout the Every Member Every November District Challenge, there will be opportunities for districts to win additional recognition opportunities. See the next page for the mini challenges and their associated prizes.

Frequently Asked Questions
6 www.zonta.org/foundationcampaigns 1 NOVEMBER—1 DECEMBER 2020
How do I make a donation count for my district? Each district will have its own team page under the Every Member Every November campaign page. Please be sure to select your district’s team and then click donate to have your donation count for your district.
Can non-Zontians make a donation supporting my district?Yes, we encourage you to share your district’s team page with your social circle. Friends and family can make a donation to the Zonta Foundation for Women in support of your district during this Challenge. Their gifts will be included in your district’s Challenge total. Please note, that in the official Zonta Foundation for Women monthly donation reports, any gifts made by a non-member will not count for a district but will be listed under the “other” category.
Can clubs donate to this Challenge? While, Every Member Every November is meant as an opportunity for individuals to make a personal gift to the Foundation, clubs can also make a contribution in support of the International Service Fund through their district’s team page.
Is this donation tax deductible? For U.S. members, yes. When a donation is made through your district’s team page, a payment receipt is automatically sent by GoFundMe Charity that meets the IRS requirements for a record of your donation. Be sure to save and/or print this email for your records. We encourage international donors to consult a tax professional with questions about tax deductibility.
Will this donation be included in my Zonta International lifetime giving total?Yes, all efforts are made to match Challenge donors with their membership accounts, if applicable. If a donor is also a Zontian, Challenge donations are included in the lifetime giving total.
Frequently Asked Questions
7www.zonta.org/foundationcampaigns1 NOVEMBER—1 DECEMBER 2020
What payment method can I use?A donation can be made using most major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover).
What is the minimum eligible donation? The minimum eligible donation that will be accepted is US$10.
Do I need to be a US resident to donate?Donations from just about everywhere in the world will be accepted if they are made using a valid debit or credit card. Please just note that all donations are made in US dollars. While additional conversion fees are not charged, we advise donors to contact their card providers to determine whether they will be subject to conversion fees on their end.
Does the amount of money my district raises go to the Zonta Foundation for Women?Yes. The amount of money your district raises goes directly to the Zonta Foundation for Women less the administration and credit card processing fees outlined below.
Can donors choose to pay for any transaction fees (and thus the Zonta Foundation for Women would get 100% of the donation)?
There are service and credit card fees for every donation made on GoFundMe Charity. The fees charged by GoFundMe Charity equal 3% + 2.2% + 0.30 per transaction, and the net amount the Zonta Foundation for Women receives is the sum of the donation, less these fees.
As a default, GoFundMe Charity will ask donors to pay the service and credit fees which will allow the Zonta Foundation for Women to receive 100% of the donation. Donors have the option to not cover the fees during the checkout process.
Frequently Asked Questions
8 www.zonta.org/foundationcampaigns 1 NOVEMBER—1 DECEMBER 2020
Is my donation secure?Yes. GoFundMe Charity will process donations through WePay, which is PCI Level 1 compliant and offers best in class security. WePay uses industry-leading Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. WePay, based in Palo Alto, CA, processes transactions for over 250,000 merchants. All industry standard best practices for security are followed and all user data is fully encrypted.
If you donate on GoFundMe Charity, your credit card charge will display an abbreviation of the WePay payment processor. It will appear on your statement as WPY*.
Will I need a GoFundMe Charity account to donate? No. But you are certainly free to create one.
Can the donations be anonymous?Yes. When you are ready to donate, click the “DONATE” button on your district’s team page and then select the “Don’t Show My Name on the Campaign Page” checkbox. Your donation will show up on the GoFundMe Charity website under the name “Anonymous.” Your information is shared with the Zonta Foundation for Women but is hidden from the public campaign page. Frequently Asked Questions
9www.zonta.org/foundationcampaigns1 NOVEMBER—1 DECEMBER 2020
Can someone send a check, wire/SEPA transfer or donate through zonta.org and have it count toward our district team’s total?
While we typically encourage donors to donate to the Foundation through these alternate streams, for this Challenge, we will only count donations made through the GoFundMe Charity online platform.
Will this Challenge conflict with the Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women Campaign?
No. There will be crossover with the Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women campaign with a dual day of common action on 1 December. Participation is encouraged in both the advocacy campaign and the donation challenge.
I am having difficulty making a donation. What should I do?Here are some helpful tips for making a donation through GoFundMe Charity:• Try from a different device - If you are on a mobile device, use a computer
instead (or vice versa).• Try with a different browser - Google Chrome and Firefox are generally the most
reliable.• Try a different internet connection - If you are using mobile data, switching to
WiFi or another connection can help. • Try a different card. For instance, if your card’s CVV code is ‘000,’ it will not go
through.• Double check that you are entering all of your card information correctly,
including the spelling of your name, the billing postal code, the card number, the security code, and the expiration date.
• Contact your card provider to make sure they are allowing payments to the GoFundMe Charity campaign you are donating to.
• If you have tried all of these initial troubleshooting tips and still are not able to make a donation, please contact [email protected] for further assistance.
