Recently, a new batch of Golden Dragon double-

deckers XML6116J18CS were put into operation

on the bus route No. 30 in Xiamen. With a height

of 4.2 meters and a length of 11.3 meters, the

vehicle adopts low-access floor and is mounted

with 71 seats. Compared with other double-

deckers now in operation in the city, the new bus

is nearly 5 centimeters higher and provides more

travel comforts to its passengers.

One of the major advantages of double-deckers

is that it boasts larger space and high economy.

With unique appearance, it also provides its

passengers special views of the urban landscape.

"I am very proud to be a driver to drive a double-

decker", Mr. Yu, a bus driver on the route No. 30

told our reporter. However, he also pointed out

that the vehicle also has its own limitations. For

example, it can be only operated on some major

urban bus routes which are free from any tree-

branches or any other obstructions in the air.

Golden Dragon Double-deckers Start Operation in Xiamen

On Sept. 2, many schools in Egypt started their

new semester. Xiamen-based Golden Dragon

launched a door-to-door after-sales services

lasting for four days in the largest coastal city in

Egypt, Alexandria. To better serve its customers in

the local area, the bus maker sent five engineers

and two after-sales service vehicles.

During the four days, engineers from Golden

Dragon made detailed records about its vehicles.

Moreover, they provided a wide array of services

according to the vehicle conditions, including

initial maintenance, periodical maintenances and

emergent training, etc. The service is applauded

by parents and school.

On Jun. 17, 20 units of Golden Dragon Triumph

XML6112 were officially delivered to its customer,

Harbin Hongjian Feichi Vehicle Rental Co., Ltd.

(known as Feichi). Those luxury buses shoulder the

transport task of VIP guests .

Wang Mingde, GM of Feichi reveals that its GD bus

fleet has been in smooth operation so far, standing

the severe test of the extreme weather in the

northern city. What's more, the high quality after-sale

services provided by the bus maker has earned the

trust from its customers. "Our new purchases are all

branded with Golden Dragon", Mr. Wang adds.

Cartoon Image Little Golden Elephant to Endorse GD School Bus

On Jun. 10, Golden Dragon brought the "little

golden elephant", the company's cartoon image,

which acts as the celebrity endorsement, to school

to promote the safe bus-driving knowledge among

the students. The event was co-organized by Xiamen

Golden Dragon Bus Co., Ltd., Xiamen Firefighting

Branch Huli Sub-branch Ronghua Team and Xiamen

Tian'an Elementary School.

The "little golden elephant", with big ears, long

nose, was dressed in yellow clothes and red vest.

When appearing at the primary school, it immediately

became the focus of the the attention from all

students. As the little golden elephant is quite cute

and gives people a sense of security,which best show

the major features of Golden Dragon school buses.

During the event, the "little golden elephant" had

some interactive activities with over 1,000 primary

school students, who also have the opportunity to

take a closer look at the cool school bus and new type

of firefighting truck made by Golden Dragon. Lai

Zhiyi, the Sales Manager of Golden Dragon, also

donated 1,200 copies of "little golden elephant"

Children Safety Handbook to the school. Using

children friendly cartoon images and story-telling

format, the handbook is helpful to spread the safety

knowledge and instruct the little children how to

protect themselves from daily dangers.

Golden Dragon Coaster Officially Designated for APEC

As a classic luxury mid-coach in China, Coasters

made by Xiamen-based Golden Dragon are

officially designated as the vehicles for 2014 APEC

Oceanic Ministerial Conference, which is held in

Xiamen from Aug. 27 to 28. During the conference,

a coach fleet made up by ten units Coasters are

expected to provide high-level transport services

for officials and leaders from various countries as

well as ocean experts.

According to the bus maker, Coaster used for

this year's APEC conference is a new generation

born out of its predecessor 2013 edition. Equipped

with power engines branded Cummins, Hino or

International, the vehicle boasts even stronger

power, higher safety standards and more comforts

for its passengers. Suitable for various road

conditions in urban areas, the coach is mounted

with CAN, which further enhances the overall level

of its intelligence. In addition, the independent

suspension system and NVH optimal control

system help the coach reduce the noises made

by itself, sound from outside the vehicle and any

shakings caused by uneven road conditions to

the minimum. Also worth mentioning is the rear

wing newly mounted on the coach. Thanks to the

new device, the overall stability and reliability are

improved when the vehicle is making a bend while

in high speed. In front of the driver's cockpit, new

audio & video system is added to the meter board,

making the coach more intelligent. The high-class

seat fabric is soft enough to make passenger enjoy

an unforgettably comfortable trip.

maneuverability, braking and comfort ability. To

On 26th June Tianjin Public Transportation

Group (Holding) Co., Ltd. opened ten

new branch bus lines, which further improved

the present bus network coverage. As a fleet of

100 light buses of Hongkong style from Golden

Dragon coming into service, the transportation

for “the last mile” will become really convenient for

the residents in Tianjin.

The average length of these branch bus lines

will be around 7km with an expected daily

carrying capacity of about 5,000 passengers.

According to sources, the first bus departure

time will be earlier than 6:30 a.m. and the last bus

departure time will be later than 21:00 p.m. in the

ten new lines. As the present bus fare, the one-

price ticket will be applied.

According to insiders, the transportation for

“the last mile” provided by the new branch bus

lines will bring conveniences for the residents

and efficiency for the bus operation. As the

supplement to the urban main bus line network,

their appearance wi l l avoid the repeated

construction and reduce the waste of bus

resources, therefore to some extent it will also

raise the bus interchange concept among the

ordinary people.

According to the technicians of Golden Dragon,

their light bus of Honkong style has been well

received in such cities as Guangzhou, Shenzhen,

and Xiamen after operation. The bus, which is

With a good driving stability and a low noise, the

spacious bus gives more detailed attention to

school buses were ready for shipping at Xiamen

Port to Saudi Arabia. It is expected that the whole

batch of school buses with a total value of over 27

million USD will arrive at the Middle East nation at the

end of this week.

Earlier this year, Saudi Arabian government

decided to invite bids internationally for purchasing

school buses which are intended to provide more

convenience for the school kids across the nation.

To insure the safety operation the vehicles, the

government has set quite strict standards concerning

the school bus operators, the quality of the vehicles

and delivery period. GD successfully won the bid on

the back of its uniquely attactive bus design, highly

reliable quality and sound after-sales services. The

delivery of such a large number of vehicles made

within 30 days goes to China's bus making history as a

jaw-dropping miracle.

SEITCO, GDr's customer from Saudi Arabia, is a

major bus operator jointly set up by SAPTCO and

ETC, two leading transport service providers in the

nation. According to sources, the bus fleet of the two

companies were used to be totally made up by the

high-end brand from Europe, such as Benz and Volvo.

When interviewed about GD and its products, the staff

On Jul. 20, Golden Dragon officially kicked off its

Tour Along Sichuan-Qinghai-Tibet Road. One team

made up by two GD coaster started on their jouney

on Sichuan-Tibet Road from Chengdu to Lhasa while

another team consists of one Righto SUV drove

off on Qinghai-Tibet Road from Xining to Tibet.

As the sole designated offical vehicles for a series

activities in memory of the 60th anniversary of the

opening of Sichuan-Qinghai-Tibet road, Golden

Dragon vehicles have successfully accomplished

its task for traveling the whole journey, assisting

reporters from various media to make reports

along the way. During the seven days journey, the

two Golden Dragon teams have overcome various

difficulties and gone through the well known

dangerous sections, including the treacherous

Tongmai, uninhabitable and expansive Kekexili,

and Tanggula Mountain Pass with an altitude of

5,231 meters.

After going through Kekexili Natural Reserve,

Righto SUV started conquering the Tanggula

Mountain Pass. With the booming sound of

The well-known bus maker Golden Dragon,

based in Xiamen, has rolled out its fifth

generation of hybrid buses, combining the

strengths of plug-in hybrid vehicles made by

Toyota, Honda, Ford and GM.

Chen Dulian, the Technical Director of Golden

Dragon reveals, "our new plug-in hybrid bus has

inherited all the state-of-art technologies we have

mastered in this field. It can cut fuel consumption

by 51%."

After initiating the super-capacitor technologies in

hybrid buses, Golden Dragon's plug-in hybrid bus

boasts duel electric power source, namely a super

capacitor and a lithium battery. Corresponding to

the motor's double winding, the vehicle effectively

enhances the motor's efficiency and shortens the

distance for energy transmission, thus improving

its overall fuel economy.

Through the intelligence distribution of electric

control system, Golden Dragon's composit energy

storage technology provides more flexible space

for high-powered lithium battery and super-

capacitor to take part in the driving and braking

durability of lithium batteries and improves the

NEW ENERGYGD Enhances Competitiveness of New Energy Buses

In spite of its disadvantages, the new energy bus still gets its advantages

compared with the traditional fuel-powered buses, which is well known to

every successful enterprise in the new energy bus market. Golden Dragon

is one of such enterprises.

Prolong Working Life With a good riding-comfort and energy saving effect, ISG coaxial direct

drive series-parallel connection system becomes the first choice for most

plug-in hybrid buses in China. However, under a rough operating condition,

the clutch of ISG system usually has to be replaced around half a year. In

order to solve the problem, Golden Dragon replaces the ordinary clutch

with the planet clutch, which not only prolongs its working life but also

reduces the operating cost.

Enhance Driving Comfortability Low maximum speed, low loading capacity, low climbing capacity are

other deficiencies of ISG system. The ISG hybrid system of Golden Dragon

adopts ISG motor with the high-power and large torque direct drive

motor. Thus, the loading capacity as well as the climbing capacity could

be both improved. Meanwhile, with CVT(Continuously Variable Trans-

mission) the coaxial direct drive could enhance the driving comfortability

by lowering the driving intensity. With a better auxiliary braking effect,

the regenerative braking system not only reduces the abrasion of the
