DIGITAL SCAVENGER HUNT Explore the site at your own pace armed with one of our digital cameras. This exciting, light-hearted activity will have your team working together and following clues to collect points. Afterwards, remember your day with copies of all photos plus a custom photo collage. This popular option is a natural choice!

TEAM BUILDINGBreak the ice and motivate your team to come together, play together, and grow together. This program offers the skills to relate to and inspire one another through a series of fun activities in a comfortable setting. For a twist, ask about incorporating Indigenous games, including the famous Holman Island Blanket Toss.

WILD GOOSE CHASEThis goofy app-based photography scavenger hunt is perfect for groups looking to shake things up. Complete missions with your phone’s camera and see other teams’ photos update in real time. You provide one smart phone per group, we provide the fun!

ATLATLBefore guns, or even bows and arrows, Indigenous people relied on the atlatl to hunt bison. This spear thrower enabled hunters to throw much farther and harder than if they were relying only on their own strength. Try your hand at this traditional hunting method and see how much force you can muster!

NEW! HATCHET THROWINGCut loose and split some stumps as you hone your frontier skills in a laid-back atmosphere. Despite its intimidating name, hatchet-throwing has a surprisingly communal past as a popular way for fur traders to come together in friendly competition. If you’re looking for a sharp team-building idea, hatchet-throwing is right on target!

CANADIAN PRAIRIE PASTTake a step back to a time when bison roamed the prairie, and people’s connection to the natural world was a matter of survival. Visit our Pioneer Sod House built from the earth, then stop by the Bison Viewing Mound and discover the importance of this prairie giant to the Plains Cree. Explore the culture of the Métis, the influence they had on the fur trade, and their connection to the buffalo hunt.

GPS GEOCACHINGChallenge your group to a high-tech, geocaching treasure hunt. Your team will be equipped with a GPS unit programmed with target coordinates to lead you to your caches. Collect all the clues to complete the puzzle!

Glide away on a scenic lake and discover the magic in a paddle. Learn the basics of strokes, boating safety, and proper paddling stance as you explore the waterfront and take part in this popular Canadian pastime.

KAYAKEnjoy the thrill of powering a kayak across our lakes, an experience you won’t forget! Participants will learn a number of skills including how to safely enter and exit a kayak, basic strokes and manoeuvres, as well as how to care for equipment.

This secluded lake-front meeting space combines quiet wilderness vibes with modern amenities – AV equipment, wifi, a full kitchen, a private outdoor fire pit, and more. Ideal for up to 35 participants, the Field Station is available year-round for meetings, small corporate gatherings, and team building retreats.

THE ALLOWAY RECEPTION CENTRE $1000 evening rate

Our open concept reception centre is perfect for after-hours private functions. A large deck with seating cantilevers over the lake to extend your event outdoors. Groups of 40 to 110 can be accommodated for plated dinners*, 140 for cocktails or outdoor barbeques. CANCELLATION POLICYIn the event of inclement weather we are able to modify programs to minimize outdoor time. Groups are encouraged to dress for the weather including appropriate footwear. Groups cancelling at least 7 days before their program will not be charged. All groups failing to show will be charged 50% of the total fee.
