• Key Issue: Sales Tax Revenue– New housing development is required to in order to serve
countywide growth.• The County is experiencing healthy growth rates, a trend that is
anticipated to continue into the foreseeable future.• Growth is a function of net in-migration and natural growth rate
(birth rate minus mortality rate)
– The Project will accommodate 448 new households (less the vacancy rate).• For households that originate from elsewhere in the County, their
old house will be re-occupied.
– This growth in households will drive new taxable sales in the County.• Sparks receives a percentage of Countywide taxable sales.
