After an opening prayer, the Chairman gave his welcome address and asked partners to introduce themselves.

WASH actors to strengthen coordination and response in Old Maiduguri- Ongoing
AAH to reactivate the Rapid Response Team in Benishiekh, AAH and CRS to follow up

UNDP & ECHO will be in Damboa on an assessment trip to upgrade the water supply System-Done?

3. Update on WASH response and coordination in LGAs: Situation, status of response and coordination activities, gaps and key challenges, agreed-upon solutions/way forward
PULKA IOM is the only WASH partner in Pulka Latrine construction is ongoing by UNICEF and IOM Most latrines are filled up with solid waste,
therefore making it difficult to dislodge The desludging trucks broke down and they have
been sent to Maiduguri for fixing. It will take at least 2-3 days the trucks will be fixed
UNICEF and Oxfam latrines lack maintenance Water supply coverage is okay since it is rainy
season It is anticipated that after the rains, the per capita
supply will reduce to around 7 liters per person per day
Process of surface dam rehabilitation is ongoing UNICEF Water trucking done by UNICEF to 2 different
locations Construction of boreholes ongoing, hand pumps too
are ongoing
Malteser international to confirm whether they are still supporting the operations in Pulka or not

MAFA TDH had a coordination meeting last week A total of 6 agencies are present in Mafa NCA completed the drilling of 2 boreholes NCA, TDH engaged community to do hygiene
promotion UNICEF dislodged 200 latrines Chlorination done in all the water points There are plans to segregate latrines in Mafa No cases of cholera yet but with cases of acute
watery diarrhea, though not confirmedChristian Aid Planning for rehabilitation of latrines in Mafa Central,
destroyed by wind Plans for hygiene kit distribution in Mafa central CAID has water guards to distribute to any actors
responding to cholera
RANN Hygiene promotion is ongoing ICRC has completed latrine construction ICRC chlorinators takes break for two weeks, TDH
will step in to cover the 42 water points Tdh has commenced construction of 42 latrines Materials are prepositioned in Ngala, not possible to
move them to Rann because of the road conditions Now UNHAS is the main means of transportation for
all materials Construction to start next week Challenge: Gap is in sanitation, TDH cannot meet the
demand as at now, because of access There are a total of 100 CHVs across Rann
MONGUNO SI is not in the house
NRC No reported suspected cases of cholera In Water Board, NRC is planning to do 75 latrines
and 75 bathing shelters NRC was some money for rehabilitation of water

DAMBOA IMC No new cases of cholera for now, for about 3 days Oxfam, the process of handing over the materials, in
this meeting hoping this will be resolved Sabongari: 10 cases reported of cholera, however, it
is not possible to reach to Sabongari because of security.
No efforts made to contact the military, security and access issues, no actor is intervening in that specific place
IMC is intervening in Chibok How many actors – IMC, MC,
RUWASA Health actors met and cases of cholera where
WASH team was asked to do proper follow up on cases, disinfection
Disputed the fact that there are no cholera cases. It is reported that there are more cases of cholera, contrary to the reports by IMC

Meeting scheduled for the 27 th, however it conflicts with the NIF training therefor it is postponed

5. Update from CPSWG (Child Protection Working Group)- Child Protection Minimum Standard (CPMS) Review
Presentation was made on mainstreaming child protection
Presentation to be shared with the actors Actors requested to contribute to the
development of the guidelines Half day workshop to be scheduled
Share the soft copy on the standards for comments through the secretary asap before the main workshop
Technical working group will consolidate and share by Friday, through Souleymane
