Form 1-A Weekly NewsUOI-3, Vol-5
Our young inquirers watched different videos on different houses and listed out steps and materials involved in making them. Students also identified the climate and topography of a place, contributing to its architecture. Children were flabbergasted to see futuristic houses made from waste plastic bottles and how they could help them become global citizens. Young learners selected one picture from their collage and focused on the different material used in the house. They brainstormed and predicted how the house would fare in heavy rain, strong wind or an earthquake.

In Literacy this week the children spent time reviewing diagraphs, qu, ng, ai/ay through spell checks and followed it up with framing interesting sentences independently and then writing them in their jotters. As we know that practice makes perfect so, we continued to work with ORT books and engaging activities in small groups along with a variety of comprehension sheets like, Oh! John and The Big Pig. We ended the week with a picture composition ‘Night Time’ in the jolly phonics book which kept the children busy kept writing.
