Making science accessible for lawyers

Our goal is to help attorneys effectively use and present neuroscientific data. We provide imaging analyses based on large-scale normative data, education regarding the techniques, consultation regarding deposition and trial preparation, and assistance with the development of visual aids to complement expert testimony.

COMPLEX CASE APPROACHIn cases involving individuals with complicated clinical histories, best practices require use of a differential diagnosis model and sensitivity and specificity analyses. This approach considers all available data relating to the client in order to rule in or rule out causes of the present deficits and symptoms. MINDSET can advise on the benefits of additional testing, analyses, and expert evaluations when needed. With more than 50 experts in our network, MINDSET can efficiently collect any additional information and quickly have it reviewed and analyzed by an expert in the appropriate field. When complex medical-legal issues arise, MINDSET's model saves time, money, and provides support to the legal team throughout the case.

LEGAL EXPERTISEDirected by two attorneys, MINDSET leadership recognizes that all expert evidence must fit within a legal landscape. Careful selection of the right expertise can be crucial. Defining the scope of each expert’s testimony and supporting that testimony through o

th ughtfully designed presentation material ensures that

the expert evidence speaks directly to the legal issues at hand.
