1 Introduction

Ford Go has been developed for the new age sales person to assist in delivering fast, accurate and comparable vehicle information to customers on the dealership floor. Ford Go provides comparative specifications of competitor models for the new vehicle markets.

2 Application Navigation

The following screen shots will help you navigate the application and provide you with information of the various features and functionalities available on “Ford Go”

Login onto the “Ford Go” system as follows: webgo.lightstoneauto.co.za

(no ”www” in front of the link) The screen below will appear:

Insert your username and password as supplied by Lightstone, and sign in. The following landing page will appear:

2.1 System Setup

Before making use of the system, the application requires the user’s details and vehicle setup parameters to be updated to ensure that all documentation, communication to customers and application usage can be stored with the correct details.

How to start Click on your name on the top right hand corner of the home page, and a drop down menu will appear. Click on “Settings” to load your information, the dealership information and brand setup.

2.1.1 Personal Contact information

Click on “Save Details” once completed

Click on “Save Details” once completed

2.1.3 Brand Setup

This functionality allows the user to select various brands which will automatically appear on the users home page.

i. Users can include or exclude Brands by highlighting the brand and using the arrows to move

the Brand from the “Available Brands” box to the “Selected Brands” box, or visa versa.

ii. Click on “Save Details” once completed

The setup has now been completed.

Click on the “Ford Logo” on the top left hand corner, to return to the “homepage” as indicated below.

2.1.4 Menu

Click on your name in the top right hand corner, and a “dropdown” menu will appear.

The following list of options will be displayed:

i. Vehicle search/Vehicle List ii. Glossary of terms iii. Settings iv. Reports v. User Guide vi. Logout

i. Vehicle Search Allows the user to filter and compare vehicles of their own choice.

ii. Vehicle List Allows the user to compare their vehicles against competitors which have been preselected by the OEM.

iii. Glossary of terms Gives a brief description of the features fitted to the vehicles.

iv. Settings

Allow the user to change settings relating to personal information, dealership information and brand setup selections.

v. Reports: will direct the user to the management information reports on all historical activities and

interactions with historical clients or customers as well as categories of interactions.

vi. User guide An online user guide will assist the user by guiding through the functionality of the system.

vii. Logout Allows the user to log off from the Ford Go system.

The Ford Go Comparison Portals

There are two comparison portals available

The Ford model comparison portal – Compare Ford nameplates and models displayed on the home page with preselected competitors

The Free comparison selection portal – The user is able to select any vehicles to compare.

3. Ford Model Comparison portal (Vehicle List)

Select the nameplate you want information on.

The models available will appear, and can be arranged in sequence, using one of the following criteria:

i. Price: low to high & high to low – display the vehicles based on the selection criteria. ii. Model Year – display all vehicles across all markets (Passenger, Light, Medium and Heavy

Commercial vehicles) that have been captured (introduced) from newest to oldest. iii. Brand – displays all the Brands alphabetically from A – Z iv. Model – displays all the Brands alphabetically from A – Z

3.1 Comparison

i. Vehicle specifications Select the nameplate you would like more information on.

a. Click on the model you would like to view. b. The following information will be displayed.

i. Vehicle Pictures - 5 pictures presenting different angles of the vehicle.

ii. Pricing information – current suggested retail price.

iii. Vehicle Specifications – various standard specifications as supplied by the OEM.

iv. Vehicle Options – the standard factory fitted options and pricing available from the OEM. This excludes any other options like aftermarket accessories and fitment

v. Smart Features – these features are supplied by the OEM and are features that are unique to

the specific vehicle and/or OEM. The Smart Features are seen by an OEM as their unique selling points.

vi. Promotions – please note this is a separate subscription and does not form part of the

normal Ford Go subscription. vii. Email Client Feature – e-mail the customer the selected or comparison vehicles.

viii. Alert (Report Specification Problem) – click on the grey square to inform Lightstone Auto about any specification that may need to be amended.

The report will be executed as per above and by clicking on the send button, your request will be sent to Lightstone Auto. The information will be verified with the OEM, and you will be notified by e-mail. All spec changes are effected the same day, updated every evening at 18:00 and should be available the next day in the Ford Go system.

3.2 Competitor comparison

i. Click on the Ford Logo

ii. Select a name plate (as shown below).

iii. Click on compare and the competitor set will be displayed.

All specifications are available for comparison and benchmarked

iv. Legend being used

The colour indicates whether the Ford model is the best, better, worse or equaly spec’d to the competitor

v. The following three functions are also available:

a) The Options Icon – allows optional specs to be included in the pricing

When clicking on the options icon, option specifications with pricing can be selected as per below

Click on the save button and the output option price will be included as per below

b) The Benchmark Icon - indicates the Ford model set as the benchmark/target vehicle in the competitor set

c. “Benchmark best filter” icon – only those specs, where the “benchmarked” vehicle is the best, will be displayed The filter will show up as a solid green filter if this functionality has been requested.

vi. Email Functionality

When clicking on the e-mail icon a pdf comparison report displaying all specifications, option pricing and smart features, will be sent to the customer. One can delete competitor vehicles from the comparison, by clicking on the “X” as indicated below.

For the e-mail to be sent to the customer, all the requested information needs to be completed. Click on the email icon, and complete the customer information.

Email Client Features - will allow the user to email a customer the vehicle details including any competitor comparisons

Once Email features is selected the following menu will appear:

Search for a previous customer and the relevant details captured on the customer will be returned.

Source will indicate how the customer contact took place.

Test Drive – indicates if the customer selected the option. These details are also used in reporting to the OEM in the interactions the sales staff had with various customers.

vi. The user has three options when saving emails generated:

a) By clicking on the “Save details” tab the details will be saved to history only b) By clicking on the “Save and e-mail” the report will be saved and generated and mailed

to the customer whose details have been captured c) By Clicking on the “Save and download” tab the pdf document will be saved and

automatically made available to the user.

4. Free comparison selection portal (Vehicle Search)

When in the Ford competitor selection portal, click on user name and select vehicle search.

The following screen is displayed:

Click on the “Selected Brands” radio button (user brand appears) then click on compare

Click on the “All Brands” radio button indicated below to compare with any other brand/s.

Select the competitor to be compared, and click on compare.

Click on “Compare” to get specification comparison.

4.1 Menu selection inputs and filters.

The user can refine the vehicle search by using the following criteria:

Passenger/ LCV/ MCV

Make of vehicle

Specific features

Retail price

Body shape

Fuel type

Transmission type

Drive type

4.1.1 Selecting comparison criteria

a) Select which vehicle type is to be compared

b) Select the vehicle make – type in the first letter of the make

c) Pricing – Use the red dots to set the price parameters.

4.1.2 Selecting Options

a. Using the drop down menu select a number of other spec filters. Once an item is selected

click on the Plus sign. This will add the Spec. The item then becomes part of the refined search and can be removed by selecting the ‘X’ to remove.

4.1.3 Vehicle Selection

Once the search is refined, the vehicles matching the selection criteria will appear on the screen

Select a vehicle by clicking on the actual vehicle description.

Once the vehicle is selected the system will open in a new Tab.

4.1.4 Specification items view

v. Smart Features – these features are supplied by the OEM and are features that are unique to the specific vehicle and/or OEM. The Smart Features are seen by an OEM as their unique selling points.

4.1.5 Competitor sets (OEM Setup).

The system allows for the OEM to setup a standard competitor set. This standard competitor set can then be used by a sales person to see who the direct competitors are for the Brand, Model Range and vehicle specifications. This item can be found on the Main \ Home screen. A demo has been created for the purpose of the User Guide.

Once the Competitor sets have been selected the following menu will appear. When selected and loaded it will only show the relevant vehicles as setup by the OEM (Manufacturer).

4.1.6 Competitor comparison (Individual Vehicles).

The following steps explain how to compare individual vehicles to each other.

a) Select a vehicle again but select the ‘Compare’ item. Use the refine search to find a vehicle first.

If the other refine options have not been used type the vehicle’s description in the selection box and the system will only show the vehicles as per the selection.

After selecting the vehicles to compare, they will appear separately above the vehicle selections.

b) On the screen are various options to select before comparing.

c) Before selecting “compare” choose a vehicle first as a Benchmark. By selecting the benchmark, all other vehicle specifications on a competitor model or models will be compared against this vehicle.

Click on the “compare” button to compare the two vehicles to each other. A new tab will open with the following screen

d) The system will now show based on the benchmark, the various categories where the benchmark unit is better than the competitor model.

5 “Chat with us” feature

On every page at the bottom there is a feature that enables “chat with us” functionality. Click on it to chat directly to one of our team members who will be able to assist with any questions when available.
