Mrs. Losneck initiated transitional activities for our in-coming 5 th graders and sought countless ways to make Ford a great place to work and learn. I’d also like to thank Mrs. Dietz who, for two years, has led fundraising efforts so that PTA could have an impact on Ford and our students. There are many activities the last weeks and days of school. We sent home a lot of notes with students regarding dates and times of upcoming events. Please make sure you are looking for them. Our last day of school is Friday, May 26 th , and I will be sending out a separate email regarding school expectations for the last few days of school. Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of a fifth grade student, Since 1972, 6th grade students in the Berea City School District have been participating in an outdoor education experience. This tradition will continue starting in September 2017 when the sixth graders at Ford Intermediate School will have the opportunity to attend Camp Mi-Bro-Be for a week of exciting outdoor education. To learn more about Camp Mi-Bro-Be you can access the Berea City Schools website www.berea.k12.oh.us and click on the “Camp Mi-Bro-Be” tab underneath the “Programs” heading. More information about Camp Mi-Bro-Be will be shared with students and parents when we return to school in August. Between September 11th and October 6th your child will have the opportunity to attend Camp Mi-Bro-Be as a sixth grader at Ford Intermediate School. This is a once in a lifetime experience that we hope your child will be able to attend. The cost for camp is $200 per student. To help families plan for the cost of Camp Mi-Bro-Be we have put together some possible payment options for you to assist in financing this payment (see below). Payments can also be made for any amount at any time as long as the balance of $200 is paid no later than Thursday, August 31, 2017. Refunds will be issued for any students who have previously paid but find they are unable to attend camp in the fall. Payments made before August are encouraged to be made online through “Pay For It”* by using your student’s ID/Lunch number. To access the link either go directly to www.payforit.net or find the link through the Berea City Schools website under “Programs” and “Camp Mi-Bro-Be”.
