The ability to manufacture a one-piece arch is an important Force 8innovation. Our state-of-the-art production techniques allow us to makesmooth, streamlined arches out of a single piece of profile, as opposed tothe traditional method used by other companies of piecing severalsections of PVCu together, resulting in a fragmented appearance andunsightly joints. Not only superior looks, our one-piece method givesgreater strength and stability to your design.

When we first exhibited this technique, a time-served joiner mistook theframe for real wood.On closer inspection, he realised this fabulous designwas in fact PVCu. He commented that it looked as desirable as real wood,but without the drawbacks of twisting and warping. He then challengedus by saying “I bet you couldn’t make a one-piece bow window”Well...we did...and pictured opposite is the completed job to prove it!

Golden Oak and Rosewood colour doors are a good match for PVCu foiled windows,however,thematerial and texture of the door leafs are not the same and there will be some appearance difference.

A new timber door can look great when it is newly fitted,

but the regular chore of sanding and re-painting or

varnishing soon takes its toll.Over time it can begin to

warp, twist and even crack,which affects not only the look,

but the overall performance of the door. In addition, the

simpler locks fitted tomost timber doorsmay not stand up

to the efforts of even an amateur burglar.

Whilst it is true that a PVCu door needs littlemaintenance,

this optionmay not offer the authentic look that will make

your entrance the focal point that you hope for. Although

often fitted with high qualitymodern locking systems, it is

the panel in a PVCu door, not the lock, thatmakes it so

vulnerable and affords the burglar an easy entry point -

sometimes gaining entry in as little as 5 seconds!

When you also consider the tendency of PVCu doors to

expand andwarp significantly in warm or sunnyweather,

sometimes rendering the door inoperable, youmaywonder

is this really the option for you?

An ideal solution would surely be a door that has the look

of timber, the ease of beingmaintenance free with superior

security, insulation and overall performance? Such a door
