Master T’Aundre Scarborough
From September 2012 . . . Where Is T’Aundre Now?
T’Aundre Scarborough is the son of LaToya Scarborough, the broth-er of Teneyia Scarborough, and the great grandson of Sister
Doreatha Bullock. T’Aundre, who is a Violinist and has been playing for four years, is now a 7th grade student at Churchland Middle
School in Portsmouth, VA. He is an Honor Roll Student with perfect attendance and a member of the Junior National Honor Society. On June 1st, T’Aundre celebrated a birthday and became a teenager.
His favorite pastimes include playing video games, hanging out with his sister and friends, and riding his bike. T”Aundre enjoys traveling and going to amusement parks. He loves to play his violin and wants to be a Musician and teach others the joy of music.
T’Aundre continues to be very active in the Youth Ministry at NFBCT by attending the Junior Boys Sunday School Class, Youth Bible Study and Vacation Bible School, singing with the Steelettes Youth Choir, and participating with the Junior Ushers and Junior Missionary Ministries, and also blessing our Sunday School with his gift of playing the violin.
His favorite scripture is Mathew 6:9-13, “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread . . . For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen” and his favorite Christian song, “The
Presence of the Lord is Here”.
Let’s continue to pray for T’Aundre as he moves forward in the Lord, growing each day in the Word. Many blessings to our Youth in the Spotlight; let’s give a loud “Bless
You” to Master T’Aundre Scarborough.

Deacon Curtis P. Elliott
Deacon Curtis P. Elliott (77 years of age) has been a faithful member of New First Baptist Church (Taylorsville) for 19 years. He is the loving husband of 59 years to Deaconess Nancy L. Elliott, the father of two sons (one deceased), two granddaughters, and two great grandsons. He retired after 28 years of service with the International Longshoremen’s
Association (I.L.A.), Local 1248, Norfolk, VA. He enjoys reading his Bible, playing with his great grandsons, and
playing pool. Deacon Elliott responded to the call of the Lord to Christian Ministry and on March 7, 2010 was ordained as a Deacon of New First Baptist Church (Taylorsville) and continues to serve as an active member of the Deacon Ministry and the Joint Board. He attends the Men’s Sunday School Class, Mid-week Prayer Service, Adult Bible Study, and Vacation Bible School, participates with the Men’s Ministry, and always there to assist and serve as needed for our families in bereavement.
Deacon Elliott’s favorite scripture is Psalm 34, “I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth . . .” and his favorite Christian song is
“Amazing Grace”.
What Deacon Elliott loves about NFBCT – Preaching of my Pastor and the love of the congregation. What a blessing to have the humble-spirit of Deacon Elliott as part of our church family. Let’s give a loud “Bless You” to Deacon Curtis P. Elliott, our “Senior in the Spotlight” as he continues to let the Lord lead and guide him.
