FOR THE YEAR!!!! BUCKEYE BREEZE JUNE 2020 I know this is not exactly how Aerie State President, Chuck, and I had planned for our year. Even with all that has been going on, I see that both the Aerie and Auxiliary are so darn close to making their quota; can you imagine what we all would have done without this Virus interfering? This being said, it goes to show you how great Ohio's Aerie and Auxiliary members are helping us grow and go forward as a great unit together. Since I am staying home to stay safe and healthy (well pretty safe as broken right foot and a pinched nerve in the left butt cheek area), I am going to use this time to do some special thank you’s, since I will not be able to do this at our cancelled State Convention. First off, I feel each and every Eagle Brother and Sister are fantastic and have done great this year, even thru this Virus and proud of each and everyone for everything that has been done to help Chuck and I get thru this complicated year; so here goes to ALL OF YOU "THANK YOU" . With the above being said, I do need to shout out some special thank you’s! My first goes out to Norma Brookover, OSPMP and Carol Giles, OS3rdMVP as they were my Convention Chairman and Co-Chairman and I know they would have done a great job and really was excited to see what those two would have come up with as you know Carol can really come up with some great, unexpected ideas and you know Norma would let her go with whatever. I truly wish I could have gotten to experience this and THANK YOU Norma, Chairman and THANK YOU Carol Co-Chairman! What would my conference be without a Banquet Wednesday Night and having our Ohio State Grandmother, Paddy Rawlins, being in charge of that and she started working on it right in the middle of accepting and I was so excited with this. Also, I know she had picked a committee that would have gone above and beyond to make sure it would be a night to remember with some great entertainment planned; who knows, the entertainment just might come around anyway. You never know, but sure was glad Paddy Rawlins said yes, THANK YOU!!! Also, thank you, Paddy, for being my State Grandmother this year and helping me any way you could all year long. I must not forget to THANK my traveling companion this year, Pat Kovalak, OSMT, who has not only been my travel companion, but has become a dear special friend and can't believe how much alike, as much as how different we are. We know we will be traveling together when possible and I consider her my dearest, forever friend. THANK YOU, PAT! Just for being you! I know all Charity Chairmen worked hard this year, but I want to mention three special ladies that I personally know they kicked butt and even with all this Virus turmoil. State Chairman for Village Network, Janice Shaw, State Chairman for Res Care, Sue Reddish, and State Chairman for Cancer, Deb Boone! They all three went above and beyond and when you see their totals and hear a couple of stories, you will agree with me that they actually did great. Way to go girls and love you to the Moon and Back!

JUNE 2020

I know this is not exactly how Aerie State President, Chuck, and I had planned for our year. Even with all that has been going on, I see that both the Aerie and Auxiliary are so darn close to making their quota; can you imagine what we all would have done without this Virus interfering? A huge Thank You goes out to Sara Favorite, OSPMP and Sue Fisher, OSPMP for taking on the task of doing the Testimonial that was to be in May at McKinley, but had to be postponed and we are still hoping to have at a later date. As usual, still up in the air!!! I know they would have done a fantastic job and will still do if and when it can happen within this next year. Personal Thank You, goes out to Harriet Luke, Stacey Mack, Denise Brooks, Gladys Petrie, Jean Stratton, Lorie Goodnight and ALL the Officers and Ladies of McKinley #2370 for their continued support through the many years it has taken me to becoming your Ohio State Madam President. Your support has meant the world to me and I know without you guys it would not have been possible. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!! Lastly, I want to mention that we State Presidents would not be able to keep things in order if we did not have our Ohio State Madam Secretary to help keep our dates in order and advise what we need to do and when. She is always there to help answer any and all our questions. Thank you, Debbie Sharp. Remember, I love each and every one of you and you all did a great job this year in helping make my year one to remember and boy, oh boy, was it. Thank You! Closing in saying a Special Thank you to Chuck Cunningham for being with me this year and helping me do the best we could do with all that has gone on! Look at it this way Chuck, we sure won't ever forget or be forgotten!!! Your Ohio State Pro Golfer, Lenny Zuchegno, Ohio State Madam President

During this pandemic many artists have recorded songs pertaining to the virus and our response. Thought you might enjoy this one by Yolanda Adams with same saying. In the middle of the turbulence surrounding you These trying times are so hard to endure In the middle of what seems to be your darkest hour Hold fast your heart and be assured

[Chorus:] This too shall pass Like every night that's come before it He'll never give you more than you can bear This too shall pass So in this thought you'd be comforted For it's in His Hands This too shall pass The Father knows the tears you cry before they fall He feels your pain, His heart and yours are one The Father knows that sorrow's heavy chains are strong But with His strength, you'll overcome

[Chorus] So set your eyes upon the mountain And lift your hands up to the sky And let His arms of love surround you Let him take you to the other side

It is sad to see that our golf season end so soon. I know many of our Auxiliaries struggled this year but I must say, we still did well. We had 57 Auxiliaries make quota, 12 doubled quota and 2 tripled quota. 54 Auxiliaries this year had net gain of +1 or better. Considering the down time the Aeries had to be closed to protect our golfers, we still did great. In May, #2216 Lisbon made quota and #3723 Heath doubled quota, and #1291 Celina and #2163 Kenton made net gain.

Top producers in May: Top producers for the year ending May 2020:

Jennifer Kless #2436 Chagrin Falls 4 Dixie Berry #761 Coshocton 44

I wish we were able to get together at State Convention this year. I miss my Eagle family so much. It was a great honor to serve Madam President Lenny this year as her Membership Chairman. I hope that sometime soon, we can do the paying off of challenges. You will see the winners here in the Buckeye Breeze so the District Leaders will be ready to pay off challenges when we can.

Looking forward to the Eagle courses to reopen in full gear so we can enjoy each other’s company again.

Yours truly,

Kelly Beech, Your Caddy
