7TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
STEWARDSHIP NOTE “But rather, love your enemies and do good to them, and lend
without expecting anything back.” (Luke 6:35) Easier said than done, right? But, if we are to imitate Christ, most of us need to practice mercy and compassion more frequently. Start with the little daily annoyances that we experience, the unkind word or hateful glance we receive. Instead of plotting revenge on that person, try saying a quick prayer for that person. Mercy and compassion will put us on the path to holiness.
CCD - RELIGIOUS EDUCATION MONDAY - 5:30-6:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s
FIRST FRIDAY - 3:00 PM - Chaplet of Divine Mercy (bilingual) and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament until 6:30 pm. 6:30 PM - benediction, litany to Sacred Heart followed by Holy Mass in Polish Confessions as usual: Thursday at 7:00 PM and Friday at 6:00 PM. There will be NO 8:30 Mass with the school children this Friday. Instead the School will have their Mass on Ash Wednesday (March 6) at 8:30AM.

Saturday, March 2 before and after the 4 p.m. Mass and on
Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
MASS INTENTIONS AND OFFERTORY PROCESSION
It is an act of faith and charity to request Mass intentions for our
loved ones, living and deceased, or for ourselves.
We would like to encourage those who have reserved the
Weekend Masses to bring the offertory gifts to the altar. It is
preferred that you and / or your family bring up the gifts at the Mass.
We understand that not everyone is comfortable doing this, so if you
are in attendance and would like to bring the gifts forward, please
come to the sacristy and speak to the priest, deacon or sacristan at
least 10 minutes before the Mass .
After the collectors pass your pew please make your way to the mid-section of the church to the table where you will find the offertory gifts. An altar server will come to you and escort you to the altar with the gifts. Thank you.
19TH MEN’S CONFERENCE
Men are invited to this important annual Conference, scheduled for Assumption College on Saturday, April 6. Come and hear dynamic talks from outstanding Catholic leaders: Kevin Dunn, Francesco Cesareo, Trent Horn, Father Warren Savage, Mike Aquilina and Eric Mahl. Bishops and priests will hear confessions. ANNUAL VOCATION DISCERNMENT RETREAT The annual Vocation Discernment Retreat for men high school age and older will be directed by Bishop McManus on Friday and Saturday, April 12 & 13, 6 pm to 6 pm at the Immaculate Conception Retreat Center in Putnam, CT. SPONSOR CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS In the course of the year, many people who have been asked to serve as a sponsor for the Sacraments of Baptism or Confirmation call or come to the rectory to request a sponsor certificate. Most of the time there is no problem. However, there are times when we are not able to give a certificate to someone. In order to obtain a sponsor certificate from our parish the person requesting the certificate must be a practicing catholic and an active member of Our Lady of Czestochowa parish. You must also be a registered member of the parish for at least three (3) months prior to the request. Having received the sacraments here years ago, or having attended St. Mary’s School does not qualify you to be a sponsor, if you are not also currently registered and active in the parish. We would like to thank all who are registered members of the parish, who participate at Mass and support our parish on a regular basis. 40 DAYS FOR LIFE DURING LENT
Lent is a time of personal reflection, of heartfelt atonement, of freely giving up earthly desires to prepare our bodies and minds for Christ’s glorious coming on Easter Sunday. On March 6th is the start of an international pro-life effort that consists of 40 days of prayer and fasting for an end to abortion and peaceful vigil outside abortion facilities. In Worcester, we pray outside the Planned Parenthood at 470 Pleasant Street, where 45 babies each week are lost to
abortion. The Spring 40 Days for Life Campaign will take place from Ash Wednesday, March 6th to Palm Sunday, April 17th. Our parish has chosen to vigil on Pleasant St. on Wednesday afternoons from 1:00 - 7:00pm (March 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th and April 3rd) as well as the last Thursday of the campaign, April 11th, also from 1:00 - 7:00pm. There are sign up sheets in the back of the church for you to sign up for an hour or two of peaceful, public witness to the sacredness of life. Please print your name and phone number on the day or days you would like to publicly take a stand against the evil of abortion. There will also be several special events on Pleasant Street that will occur during this 40 Days for Life Campaign. The first will take place on Wednesday, March 6th from 6:30 - 7:30pm when we will hold a Candlelight Vigil. We will gather across from Planned Parenthood and pray the Rosary, sing songs and pray together for the conversion of abortion workers as well as for an end to abortion. Please bring your own candle. Bishop Robert McManus will lead us in recitation of the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet on Friday, March 22nd from 11:00am - 12:00pm. In the years that we have been a presence in the 40 Days for Life in Worcester, we have seen at least 13 babies saved and 3 abortion workers quit as a direct result of our participation. We are praying for the day when the abortion facility will close. Please consider praying with your fellow parishioners and make this a Lent where we bring the love of Jesus Christ to those who need it most.

Uczniowie 10 klasy CCD przygotowali obrazki z modlitwą za każde dziecko z 2 klasy przygotowujące się do Sakramentu Pierwszej Komunii Świętej w naszej parafii. Wszystkich chętnych prosimy o zabranie jednego obrazka z imieniem dziecka i modlitwą oraz o kontynuację modlitwy za to konkretne dziecko do dnia Pierwszej Komunii. Modlitwy przygotowane są w języku polskim i angielskim na dwóch tablicach umieszczonych przy wejściu do kościoła.

INTENCJE MSZALNE I DARY OFIARNE Intencje Mszy świętych, ofiarowane za naszych bliskich, ży-wych lub zmarłych, są znakiem naszej wiary w obecność Boga w Eucharystii i naszym życiu, a także są skuteczną pomocą dla tych, za których się modlimy. Tradycją i przywilejem jest, że rodzina lub osoba, która prosi o Mszę, może uczestniczyć w procesji i przynieść dary ofiarne (chleb i wino) do ołtarza. W związku z tym mamy prośbę, aby chętni do przyniesienia darów do ołtarza, przyszli do zakrystii i powiadomili o tym księdza, diakona lub zakrystianina Jana Kanię, co najmniej 10 minut przed Mszą św. Następnie, podczas kolekty, prosimy o udanie się do stolika na środku kościoła, gdzie będą przygotowane dary. Bóg zapłać!
PIELGRZYMKA DO MEGJUGORJE I NA BAŁKANY Mamy dwa miejsca na pielgrzymkę do Medjugorje i
na Bałkany w dniach 6-18 Maja, 2019. Medjugorje w Bośni i Hercegowinie (dawna Jugosławia) to miejscowość znana z mających tam ciągle miejsce objawień Matki Bożej, w których Maryja wzywa do nawrócenia i wskazuje drogę do Jej Syna, Jezusa. Ponadto odwiedzimy Chorwację i Czarnogórę, bogate w zabytki i piękne krajobrazy. Będzie czas na modlitwę i odpoczynek. INFORMACJA DLA UBIEGAJĄCYCH SIĘ O ZAŚWIADCZENIE DLA RODZICÓW
CHRZESTNYCH I ŚWIADKÓW BIERZMOWANIA. W ciągu roku wydajemy wielu osobom zaświadczenia upoważniające do pełnienia funkcji rodziców chrzestnych lub świadka do bierzmowania (sponsor certificate). Czasem zdarza się, że takiego zaświadczenia nie możemy wydać, gdyż osoba ubiegająca się, nie spełnia wymagań. Dlatego przypominamy podstawowe wymagania dla jego uzyskania. Osoba ubiegająca się o sponsor certificate musi być praktykującym katolikiem, aktywnym członkiem naszej parafii, zapisanym do parafii przez co najmniej 3 miesiące przed wystąpieniem o zaświadczenie. Nawet jeżeli ktoś przyjął sakramenty święte w naszym kościele dawno temu, uczęszczał do naszej Szkoły St. Mary’s, ale nie jest zapisany i nie uczęszcza na Msze św. do naszego kościoła, to nie jest naszym parafianinem w tym rozumieniu i nie może otrzymać zaświadczenia. Jesteśmy parafią polonijną, etniczną i o przynależności do parafii decyduje nie adres zamieszkania (jak w parafiach terytorialnych) ale rejestracja. Dlatego mamy parafian z Worcester, ale również z wielu miejscowości wokoło, jak: Rutland, Holden, Paxton, Leicester, Spencer, Grafton, Shrewsbury, Auburn, Oxford, Maynard i inne. Każdy może być naszym parafianinem, kto zechce się zapisać i uczestniczyć w życiu naszej wspólnoty. Przy tej okazji dziękujemy wszystkim, którzy to rozumieją, są zarejestrowani i poprzez swoją obecność, wiarę, miłość i wszelką pomoc przyczyniają się do rozwoju naszej parafii. SPOTKANIE BIBLIJNE Po Mszy Świętej o 6:00 wieczorem we wtorek 26 lutego w dolnej sali na plebanii na spotkaniu otwartym dla wszystkich przez przybliżenie kolejnych zagadnień związanych z przejściem przez Morze Czerwone i z ustanowieniem święta Paschy, będziemy poznawać co i w jaki sposób do nas mówi Bóg na kartach Pisma świętego.
SPOTKANIE LITURGICZNEJ SŁUŹBY OŁTARZA W celu rozumienia znaczenia tego, co się wykonuje przy ołtarzu ministranci i ministrantki mają swoje spotkanie formacyjne po Eucharystii wieczornej o 6:30 w pierwszy piątek marca.
ZMIANA TAJEMNIC RÓŻAŃCOWYCH Ponieważ najbliższa niedziela jest pierwszą miesiąca, dlatego członkowie Koła Żywego Różańca wymieniają się pobłgosławionymi tajemnicami oraz poznają papieską intencję na marzec: aby wspólnoty chrześcijańskie - szczególnie te, które są prześladowane odczuły, że są blisko Chrystusa a ich prawa były respektowane. Początek o 10:30.
CHRZEST Prosimy o kontakt z Kancelarią Parafialną w celu uzgodnienia szczegółów.
BIERZMOWANIE Do sakramentu bierzmowania mogą przystąpić uczniowie 11 klasy Szkoły Średniej lub CCD oraz osoby starsze.

SUMMER SCHOOL
IN POLAND JULY 1-27, 2019
Offered by Jesuit University Ignatianum in Krakow, the cultural project Summer School is directed first of all towards
youth (18 years of age and older) and college students. Classes devoted to the Polish culture, Polish language workshops and sightseeing tours of Krakow and its surroundings (all in English) will allow the participants to get to know the culture of ancient and contemporary Poland. Krakow – the seat of Polish kings and the cultural capital of Poland, the city full of an antique charm, the bishop’s capital of St John Paul II – is an ideal destination to organise this kind of enterprise.
