THIS BOOKLET WAS MADE JUST FOR YOU, designed to show you what TanenbaumCHAT has

to o�er YOU as a student. We want you to see what the TanenbaumCHAT Experience

can really mean through students’ eyes.

As students, we know that high school can be both exciting and scary. To help make it

more exciting than scary, we wanted to share our stories and give you some things to

look forward to in your TanenbaumCHAT Experience. WE CAN’T WAIT UNTIL YOU GET HERE!

FINALLY, YOU’RE HERE! High school is just around the corner and you’re ready to face it

head-on, ready to ride the roller coaster! Your TanenbaumCHAT journey starts with a

CAMP ROBIN HOOD orientation day, where you get to meet all the other Grade 9’ers and

have some fun with your new teachers. Once school starts, the opportunities are

never-ending!

Between your exciting new courses, the awesome extra-curriculars, the SHABBATON

retreats (an incredibly fun Jewish experience!) and so much more, Grade 9 at

TanenbaumCHAT is filled with adventure. And that’s just the beginning of high school!

No need to fret! You have the opportunity to become part of something amazing! Our

NEW STREAM PROGRAM welcomes all students, provides you with the tools to succeed in

a Jewish high school and explore your Jewishness through unique experiences!

My name isMelanie Going to TanenbaumCHAT, it’s no secret that education

is a priority and the academics are excellent. It’s cool

to be smart and do well here. If you struggle at all, the

teachers and faculty will take the time to make sure that

you get the help you need.

You’ll have to work hard, but it’s worth it. You even get

to customize some of your classes to fit your interests!

When it came time to apply to university, I knew

TanenbaumCHAT had prepared me and given the tools

I needed to get into the university of my dreams.

My name is AlexBeing Jewish means many different things to each one

of us, but at TanenbaumCHAT we are all one community.

Our Jewish Studies Program lets you explore what being Jewish

means to you and to learn new things in an open, comfortable

environment. Add to that the many opportunities to be involved

with or even visit Israel, as a class or through many extra-curricular

programs,and you’ve got an amazing high school experience!

My name isRebecca High school is what you make of it; that’s why

If you’re a natural entertainer like I am,

TanenbaumCHAT is an amazing high school. You can be in

the play, musicals, band, visual arts and so much more! It

really gives you a platform to exercise your creative outlet

and build your skills with what you LOVE to do!

Athletics are a big part of the experience at

TanenbaumCHAT. Whether you just like to play

for fun or have a serious competitive spirit,

there is a sport and a team for you to join!

You’ll make so many friends, compete with

top teams, and learn valuable skills. Some

graduates from TanenbaumCHAT even

move on to become professional athletes!

What is really special about the athletic

program is the variety of different sports you can play and that you don’t

have to be a star athlete to participate.

My name is AryehWhat’s great about the technical courses at TanenbaumCHAT is

that every year you can learn something new and cutting-edge.

From filmmaking to computer graphics to basic office

programs, the opportunities to really enhance your skills

are readily available and the tools are all state-of-the-art.

Outside of class, you can join clubs, participate

in events, and showcase the work you

create. You can even compete with other

students in our ‘Oscars’-like film festival!
