Many agitators and mixers are still using conventional sealing
systems which require extensive maintenance. Typically they
are vulnerable to the occurring axial and radial movements in
your mixers. Even upon the intended use of conventional sealing
technologies there may also occur contamination of your product.

Runs dry, is 100 % leak proof and ensures that your productivity runs permanently smoothly.
The specially developed tribological system between the shaft protection sleeve
and the sealing lips ensures that no liquid or gas has to be used – the dry9000® runs
completely dry. This is why the interseal dry9000® system has no need of any supply
systems such as a thermosiphon tank and systems to pressurize blocking media.
Due to the patented arrangement of compensation parts, the dry9000® sealing lips
are completely free of forces. By being completely leak proof our shaft seal reduces
the risk of a production loss to an absolute minimum and protects people and the
environment.

Challenges are welcome – the dry9000® follows every movement.
Whether motion is abrupt, vibrating or lurching: With a conventional
shaft sealing the deflections that are acting as forces in the production
process lead to gaps on the sealing surface. This results in wear
followed by leakage through to the failure of the seal.
This demonstrates the superiority of our shaft lip seal, as the
interseal dry9000® follows the movements of the shaft.
Conclusions: As there is no relative movement of the actual
sealing components, no medium can penetrate the sealing zone.

Axial-radial-flexible seal with compensation using an expansion

The standard sealing packages of the dry9000®
Throttle version
A spring-loaded PTFE stripper ring on the
product side in front of the first sealing lip
protects the sealing package against coarser,
abrasive or adherent media.
Sealing lips version
A metallic lip on the product side serves as
protection against coarser, abrasive or adherent
media. Highlight: the cavity at the sealing
package is reduced to an absolute minimum.
High-pressure version
An in itself supporting sealing set up ensures
the stability of the sealing lips upon high
pressures. The metallic lip here also protects
the sealing package against coarser, abrasive
or adherent media. The cavities in the seal
are completely minimized.

Sealing lips layouts
The optimal sealing lips layout for the dry9000®
depends on the design pressure of the production
process. The standard layout provides constant
sealing at pressure and a reliable constant
vacuum. Other versions provide a conformed
layout of the lips according to the operating
conditions.

Hole for optional shielding gas
Between the product-side throttle ring and
the first sealing lip is a hole that can be used
to input shielding gas (to take away the
product from the seal), to sterilize or also
for the separation of zones.
Hole for temperature monitoring
This hole allows the temperature monitoring
of the seal. The temperature is checked
at the optimal point of the source of heat.
Hole for service inspections
In front of the second-last sealing lip from
the atmosphere the seal has got a service
inspection hole. The seal remains fully
operational and sealed if the product
pressure is measured at this hole. This
allows an efficiently planned review.

The innovative movable stripper for the dry9000®
A movable stripper that acts like a snow pusher
can be installed in front of the dry9000®. This
stripper prevents that media gets to the primary
sealing package, although the shaft is moving
axially or radially. The stripper with the metallic
protected sealing lip is radial flexible. This avoids
splitting between the sealing lip and the protection
sleeve which is tumbling with the shaft.
Furthermore the movable stripper is an optional
protection against quickly adhering product.
