Fotoflexer Instructions

1. Launch Internet Explorer or Firefox and go to www.fotoflexer.com.

2. First start creating an account by clicking Login.

3. You will see this.

4. Click on Edit From My Computer to get started.

5. Locate, select, and Open a picture you would like to edit/enhance. Note: BMPs don't

work; the supported image formats are: GIF, PNG, and JPEG.




6. The image will be loaded and you will see the following screen.

7. After the image has loaded, it will appear as below in the Fotoflexer editing window.




8. There are several editing features in Fotoflexer. Begin with the Basic editing features.

Since the default tab is the Basic tab, you don’t have to click on the Basic tab.

9. It is good practice to keep the image as large as possible to perform precision editing.

Click on Fullscreen. Press “Esc” on the keyboard to exit Full screen view.

10. Use the zoom feature on the right to zoom in and zoom out of the image.

11. Click on Crop to crop the image to take out unwanted areas.

12. Use mouse to create the boundary to crop the image.




13. Click Redo if the boundary needs to be modified. After creating the boundary, click

Crop Selected Area.

14. If the cropped image is not satisfactory, click Undo and redo the activity until you get the

desired image.

15. Click Resize to change the size of the image.




16. Enter either the new desired Width or Height of the image. You can either use

Proportions or Percentages to adjust the size of the image. Once the desired size is

arrived, Click Apply.

17. If you want to cancel the last change made to the image, click Undo once. Clicking Undo

several times will cancel all the changes made in the previous steps.

18. Click Rotate (clockwise or counter-clockwise) to rotate the image. Likewise you can Flip

the images using the Flip feature.




19. Work on the other features of the Basic tab and try all the features many times to gain

confidence.

20. Next is the Effects tab. This will take you to the following screen. Effects tab allows you

to apply different color schemes to the image.

21. Click Invert to invert the color scheme of the image. The result will look like the

following image. Click Apply to save the change.




22. Before we move on, click Save to save the image in its edited form.

23. Next you will see this page below.




24. Choose the format from the drop down menu and click Save To My Computer. Enter

the name of the file in the Filename Box and click Save Now.

25. Choose the desired destination folder and click Save.

26. Fotoflexer will return back to the current editing tab (Effects) after saving.

27. Click More to apply more Effects to the image.

28. Try out other Effects on the image.




29. Click Decorate tab.

30. Click Border and choose the desired border from the dropdown. Click Apply.

31. The image will appear with the following border.




32. Use the Thickness horizontal scroll bar to adjust the border thickness and click Apply.

33. Click Poster. Enter Title Color, Name and Body in the Poster Options window.




34. Try out the Text options in this tab to write custom texts on the image using desired font

style, color and background.

35. Save the image to apply the changes.

36. Next is the

Geektab. This tab contains several the advanced precision editing tools.

37. Click Smart Scissors. This tool is an advanced precision cropping tool. Using the mouse

trace out the boundary to crop the image. Click Advanced Options to set the snap

distance which controls the precision of the scissors. The lesser the value, the more closer

will be the snap points along the different curves of the image.




38. Once the boundary is traced, click Create Cutout to get the desired cropped image as

shown below.

39. Try out other editing tools in the other tabs.

40. Save the image after all the desired effects are made.




41. You can go back to the main page by clicking on Fotoflexer.
