For All Participants Thank you for participating in the 37 th Sapporo International Ski Marathon. Please make sure to read the following information and precautions. About lineup order at the starting point ※The distance from Sapporo Dome to the starting point is 1.2Km. You are kindly requested to move to your position early in order to be in time for the start. ※After the 1st start of the 50km race (after 8:50), skiers who start next should move ahead to the starting line one after another. If you put your skis in the starting zone beforehand ( including skiers in the 2nd starting zone of the 50km, 25km・11km・5km・3km event zones), come back to your starting zone again by 8:50, and move forward with your skis. (For skiers who start one after another, move forward with your skis in the same way. Please be careful not to disturb the other skiers' starts.) In both the 25km and 50km events, we will have two separate starting times (or “waves”) in order to relieve the crush on the course right after starting. Skiers will be assigned to one of the start times determined by the secretariat according to the skiers’ previous results and projected finish times. ※In both the 50km and 25km events, the official time and rank will be determined after wave 1 starters and wave 2 starters have completed the race. Therefore, it may take time to announce the official time and rank. Health Care Participants are responsible for their own health condition. Please be sure to take a medical exam and follow your doctor’s instructions. Also be sure to bring your health insurance card. (A copy of your health insurance card is available.) ※Currently influenza is prevalent in Japan. If you have some symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomachache, or fever, you should withdraw from the race. ※Please refrain from sprinting right before the finish. It may place too heavy a burden on your body and cause some physical distress. Let’s enjoy the race safely! Cheer each other on and have fun! Sapporo International Ski Marathon.

Please make sure to read the following information and precautions.

■ About lineup order at the starting point ※The distance from Sapporo Dome to the starting point is 1.2Km.

You are kindly requested to move to your position early in order to be in time for the start.

■Announcement of Results The Sapporo International Ski Marathon official website (http://www.shsf.jp/ski/)

Results of all finishers will be posted on the official website.

(They are scheduled to be posted two days after the race.)

※The results of finishers in both the 25 km and 50 km events will be posted on “the Hokkaido version

of the Asahi Shinbun” on Tuesday 2/7.

■ Bus Service to Shirahatayama cross-country course for spectating and cheering (Free of charge!!) To the 31.5km point (50km event in Shirahatayama course),

We will offer two bus services. You can enjoy watching the high-level skiing of elite skiers and cheer

for your family and friends.

The bus stop is in the taxi stand area.

◆Returning buses will also carry skiers who have withdrawn from the race.

Thank you for your consideration when you get on the bus or sit next to skiers who have withdrawn.

Make sure to check the schedule for the bus to avoid missing it.

■ Refreshment service of miso-soup after finish After finishing, you can enjoy miso-soup to warm your exhausted, cold body. (1 bowl/person)

Make sure to wear your bib when you come to the “miso-soup” service section. Staff members will give

you a check mark on your bib.

■Baggage Check We will set up a Fee-based Baggage Check (\200/bag). Valuables are unacceptable.

★ Acceptable items

Bags, Clothes in a rucksack (a change of clothes), Ski bags etc.

★ Unacceptable items

Valuables (cash, gold note, gift certificate etc.), Jewelry (watch, accessories), Dangerous Substance

(drug, chemical), Mobile phone, Smart phone, Glasses, Sunglasses, Umbrella

※Valuables should be taken care of by yourself. The organizers are not responsible for loss or theft

outside of the Baggage Check section.

■Coat Check At the starting point, we can keep your clothes. (Free of charge) If you'd like us to keep your clothes

for you, please tear off your bib-number sheet to make your bib-number card. And put your clothes and the

bib-number card in the designated plastic bag so it's clearly visible. Please leave your clothes in the

designated plastic bag at the "Coat Check" beside the starting point. *Only clothes are permitted.

After finishing the race, your clothes will be returned to you at the “Coat Collection “in the Sapporo

Dome.

If you start after your designated start time, your performance cannot be timed correctly.

(A security official may stop you from participating.)

■For the safety of the race

When you are overtaken, you should immediately move to the right to prevent any accidental contact.

When you overtake a skier, you should call the skier in front of you and ask him or her beforehand

to move to the side and make the space on the track.
