DANIEL HERNANDEZ CELY, is a junior pursuing a double major in international affairs and economics, with a minor in business administration. He is originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador, and his previous professional experiences include interning for the Financial Advisory Services Team at Deloitte, The Embassy of Ecuador’s Investment and Trade Promotion Office in Washington, DC, and MicroVest Capital Management. Daniel’s career interests are in the fields of investment management, private sector development, entrepreneurship, venture capital, and impact investing.

FELIPE CHIRIBOGA, a senior from Quito, Ecuador, is pursuing a double major in economics and philosophy. His career goals are focused in economic development, entrepreneurship, and social justice. Some of Felipe’s Professional experiences have included interning for Financial Department at the Quito Stock Exchange and interning this past summer at Bankers Without Borders in Washington DC. At GW, he is involved in the Business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi, writes for the GW Hatchet, and plays Club Tennis.

KAPIL DESHPANDE, is a graduate student from India focusing on a master’s degree in engineering management. His background includes a B.E. in Industrial & Production Engineering, and he has worked in human resources and project managment. An avid sportsman, Kapil has toured the country for Various Badminton tournaments.

HERMELLA TEKLE, a graduate student from Ethiopia, is currently studying strategic public relations in the Graduate School of Political Management where she also serves as a student senator in the GSPM Student Association. Hermella earned her bachelor’s degree from Colby-Sawyer College, majoring in history and political studies, and worked as a student tutor and teaching assistant for political science, writing, religion studies, and philosophy classes. During her senior year, she established the first NGO in Ethiopia that works to empower young women to be leaders in their communities. In her free time, Hermella enjoys yoga, hiking, and traveling.

JIANI YANG, is working on a master’s degree in higher education administration to develop an understanding of dynamics of student affairs, finance, and policy at higher education institutions. In 2015, she graduated from University of Washington in Seattle with a B.A. in English language and literature and has experience as a tutor/mentor with the Pipeline Project.
