application auditThis step is based on the well-known and understood HACCP audit. It is designed to identify areas of maintenance chemical contamination which may occur in a normal operating procedure.

2 product use & Zoning Identify which products can be used in specific areas based on existing maintenance requirements. An ideal opportunity to consolidate multiple chemical brands to Ambersil products, and replace non-‘food grade’ products with Food Processing Safe® ones.
product authorisationProducts are colour coded based on their NSF Categories. It identifies which products are to be used and where. This is an important step where the maintenance and H&S Managers can discuss product uses.
product CodingAs Ambersil products arrive into the stores, a designated person or team should affix the colour-coding labels to the product icon on the front of each can. StopLight™ has been designed so that;
Red represents the least ‘food safe’ products
Amber represents ‘safe - but with care’
Green represents the ‘safest’ products
implementationUsing the Product Use form, complete the StopLight™ colour coded signs and fix them to all relevant entrances/exits to each zone, or as required.
Colour Code the Facility Based on the HACCP audit, the facility can be zoned into risk areas. Areas where only the ‘safest’ products should be used (greatest risk of contamination) can be coded green. Medium risk areas, amber and the lowest risk of contamination areas, red.
