The dolly, or rolling pallet, is the ideal transportation method for goods that are packed in standard, stackable plastic crates. The Intainer® line offers an excellent way to optimize storage capacity. They can be stacked in a column and their volume can be reduced through nesting. Intainers® consist of a metal frame, which is open at the front. The surfaces of the sides and base can be made of wood, wire mesh or metal. Expansion is also possible using shelving. All models can be moved by forklift on all 4 sides. Depending on your requirement, the base can be constructed of any number of square tubes running lengthwise or edgewise. Enclosed metal or wood decks are also available. When filled, items can be removed from the Intainer® as they would from a rack. They therefore serve as an excellent replacement rack, particularly for seasonal items.

Container Management

Container management includes planning, control and monitoring of inventory and container movements. The purpose of container management is the availability of load carriers required for production, transport and storage with the fewest number of containers in reserve. Overall, many different partners are involved in the container cycle. Suppliers, logistics service providers, customers and companies need load carriers and share them with each other.To make container management effective, all partners must actively participate in the management process. To minimize costs as well as the number of containers, a high level of transparency is required.

• The code consists of parallel bars and gaps of different widths in combination with a series of numbers.

• A barcode label is read by optical scanners.• Barcodes can be attached to all GEBHARDT roll bases and

insulated containers at protected locations.

In case of temperature-controlled logistics, the challenge is to maintain the cold chain. As for government regulations, verification tests are conducted to ensure compliance with temperature requirements. In case of containers, this means that they are equipped with transponders that have integrated temperature sensors, which record temperature data in addition to the standard container management data that can be read after delivery to the store is completed.Please also take a look at the video covering this issue on our website. • Automatic identification and locating using electromagnetic waves.• RFID transponders (tags) have memory that can be written to at

least once and that contains their permanent identity. If multi-write memory is used, additional information can be stored and then also overwritten.

• The RFID tag can store different types of information: product number, owner, date of manufacture, route no., etc.

• Simple tags in the form of stickers can be affixed like barcodes to all GEBHARDT roll bases and insulated containers at protected locations. Tags in plastic casings are either riveted or screwed onto the appropriate location. In the case of insulated containers, they can be foamed in place in the carcass.
