FOOD JUSTICE IN MILWAUKEE

The LVC Food Justice Program is an opportunity for Volunteers and local organizations to increase local, affordable,

and healthy food to people living in Milwaukee. This is also an opportunity for Volunteers to explore a vocation in

working for food justice.

LVC Volunteers have been serving at All Peoples Church in its youth programs and urban garden for over two decades.

LVC is excited to join with All Peoples to expand the reach of its “Fresh Harambee” project by collaborating with other food

justice organizations striving to bring fresh food to Milwaukee communities.

Live simply so that others may simply live.

You can help!

Beginning in August 2016, LVC placed full-time Volunteers in four Milwaukee urban agriculture projects to increase the communities’ capacity to produce and distribute fresh produce. The Volunteers also help the organizations seek ongoing support for their collective efforts from local funding sources that share their mission for food justice.
